JUCO is not a backup plan, it’s a strategic path. For the right high school senior, junior college can provide real college basketball, real college credits, development, exposure, and a smarter financial route. Bet on the path that gives you growth, opportunity, and options.

Dan Hurley shares a blunt reminder about what it takes to be great. "If you can't sit through an hour and 15 minute video session...get out of this industry because this is only for the most competitive people." The film room isn't glamorous. It's tedious, repetitive, and easy to zone out, but that's exactly why it separates. The ones who consistently work even when it's boring are the same ones who execute when it matters. Greatness isn't for the interested - it's for the ones who embrace the boredom of consistency. (🎥@CollegeGameDay)

Basketball is not an equal opportunity sport! The best shooters will shoot more. The best dribblers will dribble more. The best defenders will be on the floor more. Get your reps up, get better!

You don’t coach just to win games, you coach for moments like these. Congratulations to @STCCMBB student-athletes Odayne Richardson, Zyir Harris, and Justin Phillips on this outstanding achievement! Success isn’t measured only by what happens on the court, but also by the work put in the classroom and the commitment to personal growth. Keep striving for excellence. Keep setting the standard. Keep being great.

New England needs to pay attention to NAIA basketball, it's high-level hoops! There's only 1 NAIA program in the region, so I get why many might not be familiar, but I've been a big fan for a while now. If you're a HS hooper, do your research on NAIA options! Be surprised.

Thank you to @LABCBasketball for recognizing @STCCMBB Men’s Basketball Head Coach Coach Cardona! Well deserved 👏 @STCCSpringfield @CoachCardonaBB
MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: Alfredo Cardona is the Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Springfield Technical Community College, known for rapidly rebuilding the program into a competitive force. In just his first three seasons, he has led the Rams to back-to-back playoff appearances, including a nine-game improvement and the program’s highest conference win total since 2019–2020. His impact extends beyond wins, developing all-league players and Academic All-Americans while building a nationally recruited roster and a strong, winning culture. “Be flexible in your approach and realize that each player is his own canvas. You can’t paint them all with the same brush and building strong personal relationships will create incredible buy-in and trust.” “I joined the LABC to be part of the largest network of Latino Basketball Coaches whose purpose is to provide a platform of support, encouragement, and opportunity. The LABC has allowed me to take advantage of networking opportunities to continue my life long learning in the sport. The presentations from other coaches serve as inspiration towards this career and I will utilize all available resources when applicable.”

NOTHING WRONG WITH GOING JUCO. A year to get quicker, stronger and play at the college speed. If you survive JUCO, you can make it anywhere.
There are currently 2,000 basketball players stuck in the transfer portal. Many Division I coaches have already said they’re done recruiting high school athletes. Insane.

JUCO isn’t a backup plan. It’s a 1st OPTION. JUCO is not for the weak though. It’s the proving ground. •JUCO kids are highly sought after. • You develop, you succeed and you proceed. • Your stock rises after real reps. The RIGHT JUCO will take care of you! #TheFamily🦅

EMBRACE COLLABORATION! As a coach, refusing help or resisting others working with your student-athletes out of insecurities….. what are we really accomplishing? The goal is to get the reps, improve, and grow. Embrace collaboration for the benefit of your student athletes
