KS1 ANGMERING HALF MILE - Wow, our youngest children proved to be amazing runners, with all of them managing to complete the half mile course. Congratulations goes to one of our boys, who crossed the finishing line in 2nd place.

HARVEST FESTIVAL - Well done to Holly Class, who did a magnificent job of leading our Harvest Assembly today. A huge THANK YOU for all your donations of food and toiletries. Worthing Food Bank will be collecting these shortly, to provide emergency supplies for people in crisis.

KS1 MULTI-SKILLS - Some of our youngest children had a fantastic time at The Angmering School this afternoon, taking part in a range of sporting activities. All of the children participated with enthusiasm, and worked hard for their team. Well done to everyone who took part.

HEAD GIRL AND HEAD BOY - We are pleased to present our new Head Girl and Head Boy for the first half of the year. They were selected by the staff at school, as they have always proved themselves to be reliable, responsible, and hard working role models. Well done

KS2 ANGMERING MILE - On Wednesday, seven of our children braved the torrential rain, and ran the Angmering Mile. Wow, everyone who took part ran brilliantly, and should be proud of themselves. A special congratulations goes to our Yr 6 girl runner, who was placed 3rd overall.

YEAR 6 NETBALL - On Monday three of our Year 6 girls went along to a Netball Workshop at the Angmering School. They practised some netball skills, and then mixed up with other Year 6 children from our locality, and played lots of mini matches.

DANCING AND SINGING - Wow, what a fantastic way to end the school year, celebrating the singing and dancing talents of our children. If your child wants to join one of the school choirs or join 'Dani's Dance', then look out for details of these after school clubs in September.

CORAL REEF SCULPTURES - The children in Year 1/2 made these beautiful coral reef sculptures from clay. Their work was inspired by the American artist Courtney Mattison.

FAREWELL YEAR 6 - You have been an amazing year group, and everyone at St John's wishes you all the best as you move on to secondary school. As you take your next 'big step' in life, remember to work hard, to be kind to yourself and others, and to follow your dreams.

YEAR 6 LEAVERS PARTY - Ha, ha, ha, what fun the Year 6 children had after school. They had a huge water fight on the field, followed by a game of diamond cricket, and then pizza.

WALK TO CHURCH - Today we celebrated the time that our Year 6 children have spent at our school. The children shared their memories, and chose their favourite hymns to sing. Thank you to the police for helping us to cross the A24, and to all the parents who accompanied us.

ROCK BOTTOM - Wow, fantastic, amazing, brilliant . . . . that was what the rest of the school thought when they watched the Yr 5/6 children perform their dress rehearsal. Parents, you are in for a real treat. There are still tickets available for both evenings if you need any.

GUITAR CONCERT - What a treat to hear Rowan Class performing to parents & the whole school. The children were enthusiastic, and have clearly enjoyed learning to play the guitar. Well done to the other children who joined them, and who are having private guitar lessons in school.

SUMMER DISCO - The children had a great time at the disco on Thursday. Thank you to the PTA for organising this event, and to the staff for supervising (and dancing) with the children.

YEAR 5/6 COMMONWEALTH GAMES - Our Year 5/6 children spent the day at The Angmering School on Tuesday. They participated in a range of sporting activities, including basketball, cricket, endball and handball. There were some exciting matches to watch. Well done to everyone.

ARUNDEL WETLANDS - Ash Class had such a lovely day out, exploring the Wetlands in Arundel. They went for a boat ride, did some pond dipping, hunted for mini-beasts, and saw lots of cute ducklings.

ARUNDEL WETLANDS - The children in Willow Class had a great day out, learning all about the creatures that live on or near fresh water. A huge THANK YOU to the PTA for paying for the coaches to Arundel.

CLAY CLUB - The children have been having an amazing time making clay tiles. They have learnt how to use slip to attach pieces of clay, to help bring their tiles to life. The children have produced some stunning 3D pieces of work, that truly showcase their artistic ability.
