Leaders at @STSFTrust took their first steps inside the hospital last week ahead of its opening this summer.
@ChronicleLive article: chroniclelive.co.uk/news/nor…
It was a pleasure to welcome Michael, one of our long‑term patients, to Friday’s key handover at the new Sunderland Specialist Eye Hospital, opening later this summer.
The new city centre location will make it so much easier to get here when it opens, especially for someone like me travelling all the way from Northumberland. I am excited for the fantastic staff when they move in and for all the patients when the new Eye Hospital finally opens.
Leaders at @STSFTrust have taken their first steps inside the region’s new specialist eye hospital as construction partner Kier officially handed over the keys.
Opening this summer, the new name will be ‘Sunderland Specialist Eye Hospital’.
