Can you plant wheat too early? Yep - too much top growth = > snowmould & lodging Diseases - more chance of BYD barley yellow dwarf a virus transmitted by aphids & take-all (esp given the destroyed wheat fields) Plant no more than 10 days before optimum date - map @JoFollings
