Chinese water deer looking heavily pregnant in the poppies. These deer tend to have multiple fawns, and can produce up to six in one litter!

Chinese water deer with the tiniest fawn I have ever seen. Not often they bring them out into the open until they’re a bit older, but this one was with both mum and dad, so maybe felt brave ❤️. Quite a cropped image as I kept my distance.

This feisty red-legged partridge had a lucky escape after being attacked by a marsh harrier, not once, but twice!
