It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of our dear friend, Eddie Andelman. The originator of sports radio was not just a legend in his field, but our families, the Andelmans and Wongs has a long-storied history of friendship through sports and most notably in the philanthropic world…which began with meeting Eddie approximately 50 years ago. Most of the people today do not remember or are too young to realize how Eddie and the Kowloon were intertwined in each of our existence. The mere mention of the word “Kowloon” elicited an immediate response with a shout... "Eddie Andelman!" His kind giving nature and the relationship he developed especially with our parents will never be forgotten. This unbreakable bond has carried on between our family with his sons David, Michael, and Dan Andelman. One factoid brought to mind is how our famous Saugus Wings were named during a dinner with Eddie and his wife, Judi. Upon tasting the wings, we needed a name, and the fabulous Judi immediately responded, Saugus Wings! Of course, Eddie agreed! We will miss you Eddie, your wit and conversations and mostly your friendship and smile. We say goodbye for now, but we all know it will be “Kowlooooon sooooon” sometime in the future. Rest in peace my friend, The Wong family
