@British_Airways What is happening? A whole plane load at Lyon, waiting to fly to LHR - and not even the airport staff can reach you!! Already hours delayed….No info. No assistance, no customer service. Not good enough!
So, that was 23 hours delay on a flight that takes a bit more than an hour. Delays can happen, but the lack of communication, the slow progression of the delayed departures and the abandonment of the passengers in a closed airport overnight - chaos!
So now the flight is on the app as departing at 10:am. There is no BA rep here, no-one organising hotels, we are all just left sitting in the airport. Come on, BA!
And now BA, you have just moved the flight to 14:30!! That’s 20 hours delay on a flight that takes 1.5 hours. Still no BA staff here, no assistance, no SMS or email, just an updated departure time on the app. A response please!
It was such a joy to lead this concert tonight - a beautiful new violin concerto from @Camille_Pepin, played magnificently by @RCapucon and Mahler 1 with the marvellous @nationaldefce! Bravo tutti!
Very honoured to receive this wonderful award. Thank you Limelight! But I share this award with the marvellous Sydney Symphony, who have made 2022 such an amazing year of joyous, tumultuous, passionate and profound music-making!

Speaking of cricket, tonight's podcast episode is my first with a conductor from Australia. It was a pleasure to chat with @SYoungConductor (cricket against "the old enemy" was not discussed) about all manner of conducting topics. Lovely and lively chat!
Die zweite Staffel von "Die Boss" dem Stern Podcast hat heute begonnen. Und was für eine furiose Folge - jedenfalls für mich. Denn mein Gast war die Stardirigentin Simone Young! stern.de/wirtschaft/die-boss…
