A throwback to just this week.
On Tuesday, BMRA was privileged to welcome, not one, but two of our previous charities, as selected by BMRA President
@S_Burrage OBE, to BMRA HQ in Huntingdon.
Rusty, our wonderful, sponsored
@guidedogs puppy, came along for a meet and greet. Named by BMRA members, although not quite rusty coloured, but black, this full of beans Labrador showed us all that he has learnt in his nine months, as his handler Audra prepares him to help someone with a visual impairment.
We were really happy to be joined by Lucy Burnip of
@TheStrokeAssoc, our charity for 2025, to present her a cheque for £12,851.40. This money will fund critical stroke research and will allow the Association to continue to support stroke survivors and their families.
BMRA's 2026 charity is Children with Cancer, a leading national charity dedicated to accelerating breakthroughs in childhood cancer through research, awareness, and family support.
BMRA members have raised a generous near £129,000 for charitable causes over the past eight years. We look forward to seeing you all at the upcoming Golf Day and Summer Dinner, and Annual Dinner, where you will have the opportunity to support this year’s charity.
