We’re honored to have you with us! ReMA is grateful for the support of @BIRworld as we work together for the global #recycledmaterials industry.
Honored to speak at the @WeAreReMA Convention in Las Vegas at the Board of Directors meeting, representing the @BIRworld in my role as President. I took the opportunity to thank ReMA for their continued support and strong collaboration on global recycling priorities—from the global plastics treaty discussions to ongoing work within the Basel Convention. Excited for the days ahead—catching up with colleagues, building new connections, and continuing to learn. This industry never stands still🤩 #KeepRecycling #ReMA2026 #RecyclingLeadership #CircularEconomy #Sustainability

Another day, another metal recycling facility—but this one has a Rocky Mountain backdrop 🤩 It was great to visit this @BIRworld member today in Denver, Colorado, who are aptly named Rocky Mountain Recycling. Thanks for the hospitality, Brian Henesey. #KeepRecycling

Today is #GlobalRecyclingDay, celebrated every year on March 18th. It’s a day when citizens from all around the world can come together to promote the importance of recycling! Because Recycling helps reduce waste in landfills, saves our precious natural resources, and decreases pollution, making a huge positive impact on our environment. Plus, it supports sustainability by allowing us to reuse materials, which cuts down the need for mining and new production processes. By recycling, we also help lower CO2 emissions, which is crucial for tackling climate challenges and achieving the 2050 Net Zero Goals. Thank you to all recyclers for your efforts in making our planet a safer place for future generations! Let’s celebrate Global Recycling Day by recognizing the incredible work you all are doing every day 👏👏👏 #KeepRecycling

A throwback to just this week. On Tuesday, BMRA was privileged to welcome, not one, but two of our previous charities, as selected by BMRA President @S_Burrage OBE, to BMRA HQ in Huntingdon. Rusty, our wonderful, sponsored @guidedogs puppy, came along for a meet and greet. Named by BMRA members, although not quite rusty coloured, but black, this full of beans Labrador showed us all that he has learnt in his nine months, as his handler Audra prepares him to help someone with a visual impairment. We were really happy to be joined by Lucy Burnip of @TheStrokeAssoc, our charity for 2025, to present her a cheque for £12,851.40. This money will fund critical stroke research and will allow the Association to continue to support stroke survivors and their families. BMRA's 2026 charity is Children with Cancer, a leading national charity dedicated to accelerating breakthroughs in childhood cancer through research, awareness, and family support. BMRA members have raised a generous near £129,000 for charitable causes over the past eight years. We look forward to seeing you all at the upcoming Golf Day and Summer Dinner, and Annual Dinner, where you will have the opportunity to support this year’s charity. #throwbackthursday

Sad to learn of the passing of Philip Waldron, former top jockey. Master Willie was his star turn in the early 80s but he also rode my Dads first ever winner, Gordon Jones, in a seller at Windsor in the late 70s. He subsequently rode many winners in our green & yellow silks & we spent many happy hours at different racecourses in his company. Rest in peace Philip 🙏

With COP30 Brazil opening in #Belém next week, it is disappointing to see that once again, the #recyclingindustry does not feature on the agenda in any substantial way. Recycling plays a critical and measurable role in reducing carbon emissions and conserving finite natural resources. It is therefore essential that our sector has a recognised place in global climate discussions. #KeepRecycling

Still buzzing after a virtual sit-down with Juan Verde earlier this week. We swapped ideas for his keynote address at the upcoming BIR - Bureau of International Recycling World Recycling Convention in Bangkok, October (26) 27-28. As a trusted advisor to U.S. Presidents Biden, Obama and Clinton, he’s spent his career at the nexus of business, trade and sustainability. Can’t wait to see him on the BIR stage! And he will be conducting a Q&A session after his address too! Don’t miss this opportunity to hear his thoughts & words of wisdom.
