We talk all the time about how far women’s sports have come. And it’s true—look at the National Women's Soccer League right now. The growth, the investment, the visibility…all of it is real. But then you look at this: I pulled data on ~350 NCAA D1 women’s soccer programs… If you’re a woman, you basically have to be an elite former player to become a head coach. If you’re a man… not so much. 81% of female head coaches played D1 41% of male head coaches did 40% of female head coaches were P4 players 7% of men were And 11% of men never played college soccer, while every single female did. We’ve made progress. But not everywhere. I'm sure there will be lots of theories, explanations. I'd love to hear them. #CollegeCoaching #GenderGap
