Defendant Sentenced for Shooting Murder at Carmichael Apartment On May 29, 2026, the Honorable Ernest Sawtelle sentenced Larell Weathers to 61 years to life in prison. On April 7, 2026, Weathers was convicted by jury of second-degree murder, shooting at an inhabited house, and

felon in possession of a firearm. The jury also found true allegations that Weathers used a firearm causing death and that Weathers suffered a prior conviction for residential burglary. The jury also found true two aggravating factors.
