Sitting on a bench, listening. Meditate with sounds: whispering trees twittering birds chattering folk zooming traffic. Let individual sounds come and go (don’t chase them). Eventually they will meld into a whole. Outer noise transfigures into inner silence. And God sounds.

Angels swinging thuribles at Salle. Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice. Psalm 141 Pray Our Father. Adjust yourself to the Lord’s presence. And now let your prayers rise. Take your time. Glory be.

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. 1 Cor 13.13 KJV Either way, here they are on the door of All Saints, Icklingham! Meditate on the above verse. May God’s grace nurture and encourage these virtues within us. Glory be.

A joyful half-hour today visiting All Saints, Icklingham, with @SimoninSuffolk and Cam Self! Pray Our Father. Be still awhile and revisit your day. Find the moments of rest amid the busyness. Give thanks for the opportunity to pause and do something different! Glory be.

Out for a west Suffolk wander. A revisit to the lovely little church at Wordwell, alone in the Breckland apart from two cottages.

All things bright and beautiful all creatures great and small … Carvings at Salle! Our Father. Settle into stillness. Revisit the last few days. Did you interact with any creatures (besides humans!)? What did you learn? Are you surprised? Give thanks for insights. Glory be.

Church Crawling and finding angels at Cawston and Booton. Visit this place, O Lord, we pray, and drive far from it the snares of the enemy; may your holy angels dwell with us and guard us in peace, and may your blessing be always upon us; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Spent an hour, dodging heavy showers, looking at graves in Flempton. Pray Our Father. Settle in God’s loving presence and review your week. What do you find? Notice what pulled your heart towards/away from God. Offer your prayers accordingly. Ask for the grace you need. Glory be

Open the door Cross the threshold Hovering in the here and yet not here Through the liminality of prayer Linger in the silent place Aided by breath: follow it Anchored by a mantra: Maranatha Each repetition, word and air sees divine space expand At the end: return with gratitude
