SpaceX lost nearly $5 billion last year. Is a $1.75 trillion valuation actually justified?
I'm trying to separate the excitement around Elon Musk from the actual investment case for $SPCX
The company just completed the largest IPO in history and is now valued at roughly $2.11 trillion. At the same time, it reportedly lost almost $5 billion last year and generates only a fraction of the revenue produced by most companies in a similar valuation range.
The bullish argument seems to be that investors aren't valuing SpaceX based on today's financials. They're valuing Starlink, launch dominance, defense contracts, AI ambitions, and potentially entire industries that don't fully exist yet.
The bearish argument is that at some point valuation still matters, regardless of how impressive the vision may be.
For those who are bullish, what specifically makes a $2.11 trillion valuation reasonable today rather than five or ten years from now?

SpaceX refused to take $967,815 of my money today.
I tried to buy $1,000,000 of $SPCX at IPO. The largest offering in human history was so oversubscribed they could only fill 831 of my 8,000 shares.
It's officially harder to give Elon Musk money than to earn it.
I'll take my 831 shares to the grave. I own a piece of the company taking humanity to Mars.

I see gold as a very good long-term investment.
XAU/USD has taken a big hit since its all-time high, but I still believe the time is right to enter a long position.

If I had $1,000 in stocks right now, I would:
1. Get a job asap. Remote if possible.
2. Open one clean cash brokerage account and automate deposits every paycheck.
3. Build a tiny universe: $SPY, $QQQ, $NVDA, $AMD, $MU, $DELL, $ORCL, $AVGO. Learn how they move before touching random tickers.
4. Focus on a few repeatable edges: earnings reactions, AI infrastructure, 13Fs, insider buys, post-earnings drifts, and small caps with real volume.
5. No margin, no 0DTE, no leverage.
6. Put boring money into $VOO/$QQQ first.
7. Use tiny positions as tuition: $25–50 swings only when I have the thesis, catalyst, entry, and invalidation written down.
8. Spend 2h/day reading filings, earnings calls, charts, Form 4s, and old blowups.
9. Keep grinding for months.
$1,000 is not enough to act rich.
It is enough to build reps, learn the tape, and avoid being useless when the first real setup shows up.
