We can’t sugarcoat it anymore. Nigerians are poorer now. I’m glad Mazi Gburugburu highlights this as he progresses his consultations for Imo State Guber race.

Dickson, Obi, Kwankwaso have a historic opportunity not because they are special but because providence may have decided to grease the machine of Nigeria’s democracy through their partnership. They have a duty to posterity to keep their eyes on the ball. This is how men are made

Those who love Atiku Abubakar and respect him will advice him to step down from the 2027 Presidential race and support Peter Obi who he chose as his running mate in 2019, this is the weakest Atiku has looked since 2007 when he contested for President under ACN. In 2019 and 2023, He had the profound PDP structure and support from Governors. In 2027, all are no more. All the northern Governors who defected from PDP didn’t join ADC, even his state Governor, he’s heavily reliant on the north but he has forgotten the last election, he didn’t win overwhelmingly and he’s not a strong household name like Buhari. Furthermore, it is common knowledge that a disunited opposition will find it difficult to defeat the incumbent. Bola Tinubu won as a result of a disunited opposition in 2023, how much more now that he’ll be contesting as a sitting President, if Atiku insists he’ll run, he’ll be defeated by the incumbent and his political image will be jeopardized, imagine contesting for President since 1993 and failing again in 2027, he might not have the courage to face the media again but if he supports a Peter Obi, history will not forget him especially now that the Gen Z are interested in politics, he’ll write his name in good history books for life. The ā€˜Serial Presidential loser’ tag will automatically leave. I hope he takes my advice.

Yesterday, I had the honour of hosting my brother and partner, His Excellency Peter Obi, at my residence in Abuja. I warmly welcomed him back from his highly productive international trip, and we engaged in frank and productive discussions on key partisan and national issues. Our party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), remains united. As leaders, we must continue to demonstrate maturity by making the necessary sacrifices and tolerating our differences in pursuit of our shared goal. We are resolute in this mission, and together, we shall ensure that Nigeria is OK. - RMK

Sen. @iamHSDickson You need all hands on deck. NDC as at today is the number 1 opposition party in Nigeria. You need to as leader of the party reach out to all aggrieved aspirants (and believe you me there are alot) to soothe them and get them to join forces to takeover power from the APC. Each and every aspirant have their individual strengths that the party can utilize for victory. The party is not an island. Some of the comments said in your interview are rather unnecessary at this time. You are the National Leader of the party and no one disputes that. The chest beating is not needed as it takes attention off what really matters. We have a general election to win and as leader you must be shepherd to all you lead. I will advise that all interviews in future are reconciliatory in nature to help galvanize the base of the party. Time is limited. Thank you, National Leader.

In continuation of my quest to deepen knowledge and impact positively on our society, yesterday June 10th, in London, I held a series of important engagements, including a fruitful meeting with Alex Vines, Director of the Africa Programme at the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR). Our discussions focused on strengthening strategic relationships and fostering a deeper understanding of Africa’s evolving role in global affairs. It was emphasized that Africa must no longer be viewed merely through the prism of statistics or humanitarian concern, but as a serious and equal partner in shaping the future global order, much like India, Indonesia, and other emerging centres of influence. During our engagement, it became increasingly clear that Africa, and Nigeria in particular, must be placed at the centre of international conversations on partnership, trade, governance, innovation, and sustainable development. Constructive dialogue and mutual respect remain essential to building meaningful cooperation between Africa and the international community. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

There is nobody in this 2027 election that is more qualified to run for President like Peter Obi There’s a reason why he’s still the most competent in Nigeria today .. Go and verify.

I was deeply honoured to host a high-powered solidarity visit from the Igbo Elders Consultative Forum at my residence in Abuja. The delegation was led by Dr. S. N. Okeke, Chairman of the Ohanaeze Council of Elders for the 19 States and the FCT, alongside former Governor of Enugu State, Okwesilieze Nwodo. The elders expressed strong appreciation for the growing and cordial partnership between myself and His Excellency Mr. Peter Obi under the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). They pledged their unwavering support for the Obi/Kwankwaso ticket and assured the movement of massive electoral backing across the South-East and the wider Southern region. In my response, I thanked the delegation for their visit and for the opportunity to exchange views on the state of the nation. Reflecting on the historic North-South East political dynamics, I expressed delight at the excellent and productive relationship I continue to enjoy with HE Peter Obi. I also reaffirmed my total commitment to the OK Movement and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), emphasising our resolute determination to deliver victory for the party in the upcoming elections. - RMK

One of the defining qualities of Peter Obi is his belief in fairness. He believes everyone deserves a fighting chance and has consistently shown that leadership is about creating opportunities for all, not bending the rules to favour himself or a privileged few. Over the years, he has stood by those who believe in him, often without fanfare or publicity. His leadership has never been about noise; it has been about consistency, empathy, and service. Despite the personal attacks, intimidation, and victimization he has endured, Peter Obi has remained committed to the Nigerian people and to the vision of a better nation. Through setbacks and challenges, he has continued to inspire hope and encourage citizens to stay engaged in the democratic process. In one of the most defining moments of the 2023 election, after many Nigerians felt their mandate had been taken away, he left them with words that continue to resonate: ā€œI will not leave you. I will be with you till the end.ā€ He didn’t leave us then, he certainly won’t leave us now and we must stick with him till the end. #NigeriaWillBeOk

The Nigeria we seek is one where competence, integrity, and service take precedence over politics as usual. The candidacy of Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso offers a vision of leadership focused on education, economic growth, accountability, and national unity. Together, they represent the possibility of a Nigeria where opportunities are created, institutions work, and every citizen can look to the future with hope and confidence. As we build towards that future, Nigerians should also get familiar with the official logo of the NDC which is on the @inecnigeria portal. #NigeriaWillBeOk

The Nigeria we seek is one where every child, regardless of tribe, religion, gender, or background, has access to quality education, healthcare, and opportunities to thrive. A Nigeria where leadership is built on competence, character, and accountability not ethnicity, patronage, or empty promises. A Nigeria where young people are not forced to leave in search of opportunities, but can build successful lives and businesses at home. A nation where security is guaranteed, justice is accessible, and hard work is rewarded. The Nigeria we seek is one that invests in its people, protects its resources, strengthens its institutions, and restores the dignity of its citizens. It is a Nigeria where diversity becomes our strength, not our division; where elections are decided by ideas, not intimidation; and where every citizen believes that tomorrow can be better than today. This Nigeria is possible with @PeterObi if only if we choose participation over apathy, unity over division, and nation-building over personal interests. The future we desire will not be handed to us; it must be deliberately built by all of us. #NigeriaWillBeOk

Peter Obi just filed a N5 billion suit against Kenneth Okonkwo over his defamatory remarks. And do you know the most interesting part? The guy Kenneth Okonkwo quoted, has come out to deny everything. The guy is saying he never told Kenneth Okonkwo that Peter Obi asked NDC South East aspirants to contribute N10 million each to fund his presidential ambition. Now, as Atiku would be looking for a VP; Kenneth Okonkwo would be looking for evidence.

The UK minimum wage for someone working 37.5 hours a week works out to roughly £1,800 a month after tax, National Insurance, and pension contributions. Out of that £1,800, you still need to pay rent, council tax, gas, electricity, water, internet, food, transport, insurance, and every other bill that comes with being an adult. Yet people will still tell you that anyone struggling financially must be wasting money somewhere. The real question isn't how people are surviving on £1,800 a month It's how anyone thinks that's supposed to be enough in 2026.
