Where are all the people making noise about cyberbullying? Now, this is what real bullying looks like. This is typically what a slightly richer, more powerful person can do to another person and get away with it in Nigeria. The reckless driver did not pronounce her children dead, her actions actually killed them. You see the difference? Now, you see that energy you people are using to fight for a multi-millionaire celebrity family because of a mean tweet about their daughter, this is where it is needed. This woman deserves justice. This is why the only objective thing to do in a country like Nigeria is always to protect the poor against the rich in every circumstance, because if this were done to a rich person, I promise you the perpetrator would have been dealt with by now, and the victim wouldn't be online crying for justice. This is what poor people go through regularly in Nigeria, but the priority of supposed educated Nigerians is to support laws designed to protect the emotions of rich people. Very weird society, I swear.
Mrs. Amarachi Promise Esomonu recounts the heartbre@king moment a vehicle rammed into her three children right in front of her, k!ll!ng them instantly on May 15, 2026, in Rivers State. According to her, the man was teaching his girlfriend how to drive that night when the girlfriend ran into her three kids. She said immediately the incident happened, the boyfriend quickly came out from the passenger side and entered the driver’s seat in an attempt to drive off with the car. However, she held him back before residents in the area came out and apprehended him.

Dear @OlaOlukoyede_, aka Chairman of @officialEFCC, I notice you have been interested lately in students in #Nigerian universities. You're reported to have claimed that over 60% of them are criminals. While we still await the evidence to back up that claim from you, I thought I should let you know about this dude. His name is @OfficialGYBKogi. Remember him? May be I shd refresh your memory just a little. No, dude is not not a student. He ruled Kogi State for 8 years. Many people believe he is still ruling the state. That is also your state, no? So you shd know that he also plundered the state to the tune of multiples of hundreds of billions of dollars possibly. His plunder is present continuous tense. Now he wants to convert it into future interminable tense. When you run the math, all students in Nigeria's universities put together do not control an economy like this kind of guy. But you will avert your gaze from him & prey upon students to deflect from your complicit aversion, and even supine failure. So, Comrade Chairman, let me ask you again: do you know this guy? Under your watch, he will run for @NGRSenate. And you will mount another podium to declaim against Nigerian students, right? Do not say no one told you.
BREAKING: Former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has formally indicated interest in running for the Kogi Central Senatorial seat in 2027. Bello, who will face Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of the PDP in the election, received the APC senatorial nomination forms at his Abuja residence from women groups who bought the forms for him and asked him to run.

I'm bored of saying it, but any Yoruba person reading this should please remember that there will still be life after Tinubu. His mission to turn you and Igbo people into enemies for the sake of his short-term political interest will only spoil your life for no reason.

From Pharisee to Tax Collector: Rethinking Tinubu’s Kenyan Comparison In a recent remark in Yenagoa, Bola Ahmed Tinubu suggested that Nigerians should find solace in being “better off than Kenya and other African countries.” While this may have been intended to soften the impact of economic hardship and rising fuel prices, the comment risks downplaying the severity of the current crisis. It echoes the biblical parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector in the Gospel of Luke (18:9–14). A similar warning is found in the Qur’an (53:32), which cautions against self-righteousness. Like the Pharisee who boasted of his superiority over others to mask his own spiritual void, such downward comparisons serve more as a refuge than a remedy. This validated an earlier dismissive remark by President Ahmed Bola Tinubu during electioneering: “Na statistics we go shop?” Yet statistics remain indispensable - they are the language through which nations understand their condition and chart progress. No country can develop in isolation from measurable realities or without comparing itself with peers. Comparisons, when properly grounded, are not instruments of escapism but tools of accountability. What is objectionable is not comparison itself, but comparison stripped of credible, verifiable data—mere tax collector comparisons that soothe rather than solve. On key development indicators such as security, the Human Development Index, life expectancy, GDP per capita, literacy levels, and electricity access, Kenya consistently outperforms Nigeria. Nigeria is the fourth most terrorised nation in the world, while Kenya is not among the ten worst. Kenya’s HDI ranking is 143 out of 180 countries, with a coefficient of about 0.630, compared to Nigeria’s ranking of 164 out of 180, with a coefficient of about 0.530. Its GDP per capita is roughly $2,200–$2,300, compared to Nigeria’s $807–$835. Kenya’s poverty rate is about 43% of the population (approximately 23 million people), while Nigeria’s is about 63% (around 150 million people), over six times that of Kenya. Kenya’s life expectancy is about 67 years, while Nigeria’s is about 54 years. The literacy rate in Kenya is approximately 81–85%, compared to Nigeria’s 62–65%. Kenya’s electricity access is higher, while Nigeria has one of the lowest levels of electricity access in the world. Kenya has about 3.5 million out-of-school children, while Nigeria has about 20 million. Kenya’s inflation rate has been about 4.5% or lower over the past three years, while Nigeria’s has remained above 15% within the same period. Kenya’s exchange rate has been around USD 1 to KES 130 over the past three years, whereas Nigeria’s exchange rate rose from below ₦500/$1 to above ₦1,250/$1 within the same period. Even with developments in the Middle East and rising oil prices, Kenyans have not experienced the sharp increases in petroleum product prices seen in Nigeria. Across other key indicators, Kenya also performs better. In the end, these indices clearly show that Kenya ranks higher than Nigeria on several development metrics. The standard of living of Kenyans is better than that of Nigerians. If the President considers Kenyans to be suffering despite these stronger figures, then Nigerians are in a far more difficult situation. He should therefore refrain from self-consolation and, in honest reflection, take responsibility for the situation and make a determined effort to drive improvement. This requires a posture of humility, accountability, and commitment to addressing the factors that have slowed Nigeria’s development. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

A Call to Reflect: The Death of Brigadier-General O. Braimah The moment I heard of the killing of yet another soldier, Brigadier-General O. Braimah, who was killed alongside other army personnel in a Boko Haram attack at Benisheikh, I was quickly reminded of what other countries commit to when it comes to rescuing their endangered soldiers on the battlefield. Such unfortunate incidents serve as a clarion call for all of us to reflect more deeply on the value we place on the lives of all citizens, including those who stand in defence of our nation, and on the urgent need to strengthen our collective resolve in safeguarding them. May God grant his dear wife, the families of all the fallen soldiers, and indeed all those who lost their lives in the incident, the fortitude to bear this painful loss. May their souls rest in peace, in honour of their supreme sacrifice for the nation. -PO

Standing Up for Democracy Today, I joined fellow Nigerians, leaders, and members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) led by National Chairman Sen. David Mark to participate in a peaceful "Save Democracy" protest. This event was not just an effort to protect our democracy; it was also a moment of reflection on how far we have fallen as a nation. We must resist the suffocation of our democracy by those who once claimed to have sacrificed to defend it, but are now doing everything possible to undermine it and silence opposition. History will not be kind to those who traded the struggle for democracy for the comfort of power. We will not remain silent, we will not be intimidated, and we will not surrender the future of this nation. The will of the people must prevail—stronger, louder, and impossible to suppress. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Waspapping posted, “If we make the mistake of handing this country to Peter Obi , then the likes of Sardauna & Tafawa Balewa, who were killed by his tribesmen during the Igbo war would’ve died for nothing” A northern sister replied him with “If Peter Obi gets the ticket under ADC, I swear I will vote for him. Even if he ends up killing us, let him kill us, it is better than those who hide behind religion while oppressing us.” Bro 😭😭😭

“This Experience Will Not Repeat Itself” - Another Presidential Promise fails in less than 24 Hours. Less than 24 hours after President Tinubu stood at the Jos Plateau State airport on April 2, 2026, and promised the grieving Nigerian citizens, “I promise you that this experience will not repeat itself,” another brutal attack occurred in Nyamgo Gyel, Jos South LGA, resulting in the deaths of several innocent citizens. Since then, and only a week following that reassuring promise from the President, Nasarawa State has been plunged into grief as the Akyawa and Udege Kasa communities fled for their lives after gunmen killed at least 11 people. Many homes were reduced to ashes, and numerous families remain missing. In Zamfara State, 150 innocent Nigerians were abducted from the Kurfa Danya and Kurfan Magaji communities in one of the largest mass kidnappings in recent times. On the same day of the Zamfara kidnappings, terrorists in Borno State stormed Chibok, killing four officers and burning down homes. Yesterday, on Easter Sunday, Benue State was rocked by violence again, with over 17 Nigerians massacred, entire communities left in ruins, and many individuals still unaccounted for. Today, in Kaduna State, several innocent citizens were killed by terrorists inside churches, with many others abducted in the Ariko community of Kachia LGA. Yet we were told, “This experience will not repeat itself.” This represents a failure of leadership and responsibility, and sadly, Nigerians are paying for it with their lives. These attackers are not ghostly figures; our inaction emboldens them. How can a President make such a categorical promise and, mere hours later, the nation continues to count the dead across multiple states? The primary responsibility of any government is to protect lives and property; however, this responsibility is failing today. Nigerians are being slaughtered in their homes, in their communities, and in the very places they should feel safest. Even the President did not enter these communities, so who is truly safe in Nigeria? This is a national emergency. Nigeria is bleeding, and the situation is worsening and increasingly helpless. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Tinubu in Jos Confirms ‘Don't Vote for Me’ Prediction on Power Supply During the 2023 campaign, President Tinubu made a clear electoral promise: “If I don’t give you constant electricity in four years, don’t vote for me for a second term.” When he took office in 2023, Nigeria had a power supply of over 4,000 megawatts and lower tariffs. Today, the electricity power supply is less than 4,000 megawatts on the average, and Nigerians are paying higher tariffs. Nigeria currently has the lowest per capita electricity consumption in the world, with a rate below 30% of the African average. Africa’s average is 617kwh, Nigeria’s is 144 kWh. This means that Nigerians consume least electricity than other Africans. In a glaring display of disregard for promises and a lack of trust, President Tinubu, during a brief airport stopover to visit grieving families of the Jos attack on Thursday, April 2, 2026, stated that one of the reasons for his 10-minute stay was that the airport had no electricity. “You have no light here I fly out in ten minutes” At a time when Nigerians are enduring days without power, our leaders cannot even stay a few minutes without it. Now is the time to stop incompetent leaders—those lacking the capacity and compassion—who prioritise their own comfort over the well-being of the people and make empty promises. Take what I presented to you for what it's worth, you Nigerians.
Former King of Malaysia beat his caddie to death with a golf club for laughing at a bad put. This incident, combined with his later assault of a hockey coach in 1992 triggered massive public outrage. All 96 members of Parliament unanimously voted to strip the entire Malaysian royal family of their legal immunity in 1993 making him the king who accidentally ended royal immunity in Malaysia forever.

Update: Six months after the anti-corruption revolutionary protest, Nepal has sworn in 35yr-old ex rapper, Balendra Shah as new Prime Minister. Shah picked a 14-member cabinet to cut governance cost (previously 30 ). His new youth-led party won 182/275 parliament seat in what is seen as a sweeping victory. During the Gen Z protest, at least 75 persons were killed. In his speech, he said they are no longer afraid of blood, as their eyes have seen it all, as he promises transparency and reduced cost of governance. And progress will be measured by the impact on the common people, not on paper. Shah became well‑known as a rapper, singing about corruption and social issues. He still does music as a hobby, but will focus on politics fully. He even released a track of assurance on the Inauguration Day. India and China congratulated Shah. Follow @TrendingEx for dailies..
Nepal is trending because youths successfully forced their corrupt Prime Minister to resign after 4 terms, and are beating corrupt Ministers on the streets. This is the summary of what’s happening. Since 2015 when Sherma Oli has been PM, Nepotism and corruption skyrocketed. Regular citizens can’t get regular jobs, all the top paying jobs are reserved for under qualified Politician kids or extended family members. Like Nigeria, their politicians embezzle from the national treasury without remorse. Court no longer hold any power because of extreme open bribery. The police, military all institutions are all for sale to the highest “briber”. Infrastructural development have stunted because they loot the funds for power, road etc. Yet, the contracts are only given to political associates, not open to public. So the youths and people have been complaining since 2008. But no success. Until their new gen influencers started using their platforms to call out the government, because they are tired of migrating to get basic jobs. For two weeks they started a “Nepo Kid” campaign, almost like what Salako did. Theirs was highlighting the luxury lifestyle of politician kids and families. Influencers with massive followings, amplified them. Seeing the heavy criticism and complain from the Gen Z’s. On August 28th, the government asked all social media platforms to re-register in the country, set up local offices and to give them access to their platforms, under 7 days. Claiming it is to prevent fraud and stop fake news. — disguised “Hate Speech Bill.” Of course, the platforms failed to comply. The 7 days expired on September 3rd. On September 5th, the Government ordered the Ministry of Communication to shut down all international social media platform including emails, total of 26. The full shutdown finalized over the weekend. In reaction, like Kenya Gen Z’s — Nepal’s Gen Z’s mobilized and hit the streets in thousands on Saturday, Sunday, and number tripled by Monday. The government tagged it a violent protest, imposed a curfew and gave the police license shoot on sight. From Monday evening, the police started shooting live rounds. 20 reportedly died and atleast 400 seriously injured. Instead, more people came out. Seeing this, some of the cabinet members resigned, as the crowd took over the Prime Minister’s house. They distributed themselves to all the politicians houses, set them on fire, siezed the National Assembly complex, demanding the PM’s resignation, dissolution of the entire cabinet and end of of corruption in the country. Today, the PM tendered his resignation. Lifted the ban on social media. Yet the protest continued. According to reports, politicians are fleeing the country in droves. The ones still in the country are being beaten and embarrassed on the streets. Although the PM’s 4 terms have been bitter sweet, because of political differences. His longest term was when he served for 3yrs 5months from Feb 2018 to July 13th, 2021. The other three times, he was removed by the alleged corrupt court twice and resigned once due to party friction. According to reports, Nepal government is now working to appease the youths and appoint an interim government. Yet, the protest is still fully underway. Apparently the youths are asking for one thing. — Strong Anti-Corruption Laws, Systems and Judiciary. Follow @TrendingEx for daily explanations!

When Kobbie and Casemiro are paired together in the midfield, United is 70% likely to win, 20% likely to draw and 10% likely to lose. When Ugarte and Casemiro are paired together in the midfield, United is 80% likely to win, 10% likely to draw and 10% likely to lose. When Bruno and Casemiro are paired together in the midfield, United is 70% likely to win, 20% likely to draw and 10% likely to lose. When Kobbie Mainoo and Ugarte are paired together in the midfield, United is 90% likely to lose and 10% draw the match. When Bruno and Ugarte are paired together in the midfield, United is 90% likely to lose and 10% draw the match. Do with this information what you will. Casemiro remains the denominator that increases our chances of winning, drawing or losing when present or absent and whoever he is paired with either increases the odds or reduces it. Kobbie isn’t special and Ugarte paired with Casemiro can offer same results also.
