Minnesota State RB Sam Backer (@SamBacker5) was terrific for the Mavericks all season long in 2025.
Backer earned NSIC South Division First Team All-Conference honors after rushing for 980 yards and 19 TDs, while also contributing as a pass catcher with 29 receptions for 233 yards and 2 more scores through the air.
