Really interesting couple of days in NI visiting Campbell Tweed @ Ballycoose farm & the CAFRE hill farm at Glenwherry. Also managed to attend the Ballycoose open evening event & give a quick update on the #SRUCKirkton flock. Great turnout of farmers & lots of good discussion 🧬🐏

With tonight's webinar we launched genomic breeding values for sheep. A massive first for the industry. I can't believe how far we have come. At the start of my career it would've been considered impossible.... it simply wouldn't have been considered. @AHDB_BeefLamb @egenes_sruc

Sorry I am online for Day 3 of @BSAS_org - but good to hear @AHDB_Dairy and @AHDB_BeefLamb research on genomics, growth curves and disease resistance being presented. Another series of great papers today and Vardy is looking forward to the one on insect feed in poultry diets.
