Anyone who posts this stuff should first be forced to sit and watch a full Reagan speech, followed by a Trump speech It’s actually a really good illustration of the industrial-scale dumbing down of US political debate that’s happened these past few decades
In the last 45 years, only TWO presidents put America First. The GOATS… Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump.

Forget substance, even, where they’re irreconcilable anyway. Note the differences in vocabulary. In the sophistication of their ideas. One of them speaks like an intelligent adult, with deeply held beliefs. The other speaks like a kid bullshitting his way through a book report

US culture warriors: please at least google Partey before spouting off so you can tell the difference between the two cases please
Surely Canada barring an actual player from Ghana will spark the same amount of outrage from sports media that the US denying entry to the Somalian referee did, right?

Elon Musk held up a chainsaw, fed USAID into the wood chipper, and at least 600,00 people have already died as a result - two-thirds of them children. History's first trillionaire.
Elon Musk has become the first trillionaire in history.

When Russia hosted the World Cup in 2018, it had to suspend normal visa rules for the tournament. Foreigners with tickets could enter visa-free, using a scheme called ‘Fan ID.’ Russia also had to do weird stuff to keep FIFA’s sponsors happy. For example, small shops near Fan Zones and stadiums could only sell Budweiser beer on match days. So yes, FIFA absolutely does dictate conditions to host governments when it suits FIFA. Infantino pretending otherwise is nonsense.
Infantino was asked by a BBC journalist if he's embarrassed by what has come to pass and does he accept he's lost control of his tournament here. His response: “in 2035, the Women’s World Cup, I think, will be in the UK. Would you find it normal that FIFA will dictate to the British government who to let in the country and who not to let in?” #FIFAWorldCup

The Knicks trailed by 17 points with less than 9 minutes to go.   Entering today, teams were 0-96 when trailing by 17 points in the final 9 minutes of regulation of a Finals game since 1970-71. The Knicks have just made that 1-96.

Chill. Unless you’re a fan whose visa was denied, losing your life savings. A referee whose participation was withdrawn after a lifetime of work. A player who couldn’t focus without certainty as to if, or when, you were going to be allowed to play in the biggest moment of your young life, and most precious memory as you will age. A country that had to change venues because you’re being bombed by the hosts. A staff member denied a World Cup after years of dedication in qualifying. A spectator who sold your house to pay for exorbitant tickets. Aside from that, relax.
"Chill, relax" BBC sports editor Dan Roan asks Fifa president Gianni Infantino if he's lost control of his own tournament. #FifaWorldCup

Stephen King famously had the guts to run this experiment. His alter-ego found a publisher and a small audience but would never have become wealthy.
Mr Beast says he could start a faceless channel tomorrow and hit 20 million subscribers in six months “I could start a new channel tomorrow not using my face or my voice without ever promoting it and in six months have 20 million subscribers” “It’s purely knowledge if you knew what I knew you could get 10 million views a video and 10 million subscribers no matter where you are right now within 6 months” “It really is just knowledge”

Trump seems especially triggered by the repeated request for “evidence” to support his claims. He doesn’t cite any, and perhaps can’t, given the dozens of rejected court claims. He’s been counting on forceful, take-my-word-for-it assertions since Nov. 3, 2020.
Here's the full chain of events that led to Trump storming out of his interview with Kristin Welker, beginning with her pressing him on the weaponization fund, continuing with her pointing out the baselessness of his "rigged election" lies, and concluding with him calling her "crooked or stupid" and leaving

There’s nothing wrong with the journalist he’s insulting ploughing on like it’s nothing. That’s professional The problem is when he’s talking to a pack, insults one journalist, and the next person’s response isn’t to immediately ask “hey what the hell was that?”
Why is the US media so obviously incapable of standing up for itself? Deeply puzzling

The Republican who actually made the November ballot attempting to make a reasonable point here ... now going to wind up talking about Trump for weeks
The snail-like pace of the vote counting process in California is just another example of the incompetence and uselessness of the state government. The choice for Californians in November will be clear—more of the same with Xavier Becerra or change for the better with me. Change is coming to California. ☀️👊
