The level of whining about the World Cup this year is peak insufferable Eurocentrismโ€ฆincluding from Americans who think watching the PL is a replacement for a personality. Go America. F the haters.

This tournament is getting really interesting for the host nations. My prediction is either the U.S. or Mexico makes a deep run.
Itโ€™s 0-0, 87th minute

The Scotland vibes in Boston alone were magical.
as much as everyone wants to complain about the World Cup being in the US, itโ€™s been great so far

There is a lot of โ€œParaguay isnโ€™t very goodโ€ talk. Full stop. Under Alfaro, they lost just once in WCQ and went 9 straight without defeat. They beat URG, Brazil, & Argentina. They were one of the best defensive teams in the ๐ŸŒŽ. Paraguay isnโ€™t bad. #USMNT made them look bad.

Reminder that England has never beaten the US in 3 tries in the World Cup.
the us is not going to beat: argentina, spain, france, germany, england, japan or australia. calm down.

Tres a cero, baby! #USMNT

Boys are playing with a ruthlessness I havenโ€™t seen with the USMNTโ€ฆever.

Disagree, but the scene at Azteca likely wonโ€™t be matched all tournament.
Hot take: Mexico should have hosted the world cup on it's own ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ

Harsh, but fair.
Look, I get it, a lot of you aren't enthusiastic this week because it's the Men's World Cup, not the actual World Cup -- but give it a chance. Boys play soccer, too!

As someone who thinks the original is an entertaining but somewhat false depiction of Zuckerberg (he didn't invent FB to get chicks, FGS)...this looks more interesting to me. And no, The Social Network" is not the movie of the decade. I won't be precious about its sequel.
First trailer for โ€˜THE SOCIAL NETWORKโ€™ sequel, starring Jeremy Strong, Jeremy Allen White and Mikey Madison. The film follows an engineer who becomes a whistleblower on Facebook's most guarded secrets. In theaters on October 9.

The Rose Bowl is the best stadium in the world, and I won't hear any other arguments.
Have you ever been? I have. Youโ€™re 30 years out of date. Of the stadiums hosting WC games only SoFi and maybe MB, are on a par with the top English stadiums: Arsenal; Spurs, Man City; Wembley. MetLife is probably the worst WC final location sinceโ€ฆwell, since the Rose Bowl.

False.
Guys. No one in the USA cares about the World Cup.

Largely agree. Iโ€™m frustrated we burned 18 months with this new coaching staff to be right where we were with Berhalter. But yesterday was encouraging that weโ€™re good enough to get back to the Round of 16.
Great goal. Loved it. But guess what? We still lost the game. And we already heard the SAME BULLSHIT talking points about the #USMNT that we always hear from pundits on American broadcasts during a World Cup cyle: "For large portions of the game, the US team went toe to toe with the 10th ranked country in the world!" So what? We still lost. I've cheered so hard for the USMNT since the Shot Heard 'Round the World goal in 1990 from Paul Caligiuri. And I'm so exhausted by the same rhetoric being trotted out every four years to cover up that we're always good enough to hang, but never good enough to consistently win at the #WorldCup . I hope for the day when good enough is no longer good enough for US Soccer and we actually strive to be great.
