Daily reminder why news on social media is banned in Canada while the Canadian government uses $1.6 billion of our hard-earned tax dollars to fund Soviet-level propaganda disguised as news. #journalism

Ivan Barbashev on Pavel Dorofeyev calling him a "big brother" and how Vladimir Tarasenko helped him in the same way in St. Louis: "I didn't help him [jokingly]. I mean, we talk every single day. On the road trips, we'll go to a restaurant together. It's the same thing to me, like I had Tarasenko in St. Louis with me. Like when I just made it to the NHL, and he would do the same thing to me. He would take me to dinners, we would talk every single day. Our families are really close to each other. And it's just nice to have another Russian guy next to you." #Scorofeyev #STLBlues #VegasBorn #ForgedInGold #StanleyCup

Vladimir Tarasenko recently talked about helping Danila Yurov adjust to the NHL in a similar way⬇️ #ForgedInGold #MNWild x.com/samlensports/status/20…

Vladimir Tarasenko on Danila Yurov’s first NHL season and what he thinks of him: "It was exciting for me getting to know him at first. Second, he's from the same country, and we had a lot of time talking. I tried to help him as much as I can to adjust because I remember it's very hard to change not only the style of play, because I feel like this is what most people will talk about, you know, the NHL and KHL, but overall, change the country different, mindset different, different rules. When I came in, I don't have any Russian guys who was older than me, who was maybe able to help me, but I got taken care of by the North American guys very well, so I can't complain at that time. Not only me, I think all Russians tried to help him as much as we can, and personally, I would just share some stuff I was going through. He's a very well-raised, very polite young gentleman who is very nice to be around. He was willing to learn, which is not very rare right now, but it's kind of not everybody willing to do this, taking advice and actually trying it and seeing if it's gonna work. I'm very happy to get him know better this year and I'm very excited about him, as you see during the year and even in the playoffs, he played with way more confidence than at the beginning of the year. I think the biggest part is he's always competing. He'll never get scared of taking a hit or something. He always battling for a puck and he's a very smart, intelligent player." #MNWild

Vladimir Tarasenko on whether he believes the Minnesota Wild have what it takes to win the Stanley Cup: "You have to want it, and this team wants it. And I think the biggest ingredient, like I mentioned, is a tight group of guys. If you don't have a tight group of guys who are willing to play for each other and sacrifice for each other, then there is no chance to succeed. This group has it. We played two good teams in these playoffs, and yeah, we are out in the second round, but as you see during the whole season, this team can play against every other team in the league. And I do think this team has it, yeah." #MNWild #StanleyCup

Vladimir Tarasenko on his first season with the Minnesota Wild and his future with the team: "I absolutely would love to return. Me and my family are very thankful for the Minnesota people and the organization making the transition as smooth as possible. We met a lot of great people, not only in the Wild but in kids' hockey, and we've been helped everywhere. I would say we've been accepted very well. It's a big thank you from our family for things people have done for us this year to make us feel comfortable in a situation where we were coming into a new town. Not new for me, familiar from before, but I never lived here before. We really enjoyed it, and it's not only me but my family also." #MNWild

Michael McCarron reflects on what went wrong for the Minnesota Wild in their second-round series against the Colorado Avalanche: "It stings for sure. It hasn't really gone through my head quite thoroughly yet. It's a tough way to go for sure. I think maybe it seemed like we were a little tired. I don't know. As a group, just going through, I know it was a big thing in the Minnesota sports world to get out of the first round. I think maybe a lot of guys who have been here for a long time, and including me, I've never been out of the first round, but just coming off that emotional high in the first round, I think it starts with Games 1 and 2. I don't think we were quite ready or emotionally invested in the series. Sometimes when a team has gone through what the Wild have gone through the past 10 or 11 years of not being able to get out of the first round, it's almost like, 'Phew, we did it,' maybe took a breath. But in saying that, I think we're a really good hockey team. It was fun to be around the rink and be around this crew of great guys, and I enjoyed my time." #MNWild

Jarod Spurgeon on how Quinn Hughes has changed the Minnesota Wild: "Yeah, he's obviously a special player. Like I said before, I think playing against him, you obviously have the respect for him being an opponent, but when you see what he does night in and night out, it's pretty special to see the way he can change the game and just the entire dynamic of your team, whether it's the offensive side or just the control of the puck that he posses, just to have it in our possession, whether it's the offensive zone or just coming through the neutral zone or breakouts like that. There's a reason why he's such a special player. Like you said, he just changed the dynamic of the team coming from the back end. And obviously him and Fabes [Faber] working together, they're such a great combo with the way they think the game, their hockey IQ, and the way they skate and feed off each other. Whether it's defending or the offensive side, they're always a threat when they're out there." #MNWild

Jason Robertson on whether he's talked to his younger brother, Nick Robertson, about playing on the same team together: "Not really. I mean, honestly, we just wanted my brother to get minutes anywhere, really. We wanted him to just get there. That was the thing. We want him to succeed. I think he's got another level too. He's gonna keep working hard, right? He wants to get to where, you know, I don't wanna say where I am, but playing top minutes, put in situations where he can succeed. And I think that's as a goal scorer, as a skill guy. So we've never really talked about playing with each other. It's been something as kids we talked about, but once we got pro, it's like, I want Nick to just find a spot, find anywhere where he can succeed and be the best player he can be. So that's what I want for him, and whatever happens, happens." #LeafsForever #TexasHockey

Jason Robertson on his future with the Dallas Stars amid contract uncertainty: "I understand it's a business on both sides, right? I'm optimistic, I hope. But yeah, it's not like what it was when I was 10 years old getting into the NHL anymore. It's a business and everything, and I learned that four years ago. So yeah, it's not my first time. I'm just excited that I'm healthy going into this offseason. That's the only positive. Obviously you want to be playing, but healthy, ready to improve this summer. I mean, we played a lot of hockey the past three years. It's the longest summer we've had in three years, so use this extra time to lick our wounds, maybe go back to LA for a little bit, get some sun there. I haven't had that since four years ago. So yeah, it's definitely bittersweet, but lots to be excited about and it's gonna be good." #TexasHockey

Jason Robertson reflects on his 2025-26 season with the Dallas Stars: "Yeah, I mean, every year's long, but for me personally, obviously it was a long year for me. I wanted to come back after last year being semi-hurt, come in healthy and try to perform and get back to where I was, or could be, and not only that, but kind of get to another level. I thought I did that in certain ways. Really tried to improve and really do things differently this year on the ice. Moving my feet more, shooting the puck in better areas, getting to better scoring chances and everything, and then obviously everything worked out. I mean, it was great. And then obviously, as a team, definitely disappointed with what happened. And yeah, it is what it is." #TexasHockey

Roope Hintz on his relationship with Dallas Stars assistant coach Neil Graham and crediting him as the biggest reason behind the team's power-play success: "Yeah, it was great. Like I said, he had so many good things to add on the power play and the way he brings that to you and shows those clips and everything. Just a great coach, and that's probably the biggest reason the power play was so consistent all year." #TexasHockey

Tyler Seguin on whether he's had conversations with Jamie Benn about re-signing with the Dallas Stars: "Not allowed. You ain't allowed to leave. I got one year left here, gotta stay. But I don't think anyone knows what Jamie's gonna do till Jamie does it, and I'll stay out of his way and let him come to his own decisions. But I'd obviously love to have him for one more shot." #TexasHockey

Rod Brind'Amour on what would happen if his 2006 self lined up against Jordan Staal in 2026: "Well, I can tell you, I can't forget the years, but I did line up against Jordan Staal in 2009, maybe, and that didn't go very well. So, I guess that answers that question. I'll leave it at that." #CarolinaCulture #SoundTheSiren #StanleyCup
