Don't launch a subscription based software for Kenyans! They will find a way around it or just clone it

You will always find Kenyans doing the most random things in the most random places. What do you mean the Head of recruiting at OpenAI is called Liz Wamai and went to Moi University

Another way is, pay per hour or per day or per week. Or give discounts to monthly subscriptions. That works too. For orgs give them yearly subscriptions, or license out.
Kenyans will pay for a "Pay as you go SaaS or software" rather than subscription. Developers, there is your solution. ☝️

Dear Kenyan business owners?

Business owners in Kenya do struggle to find trustworthy marketers.

X’s location language algorithm lowkey disadvantages Kenyan software developers who want wider audiences. I’m building a OneSocial CRM for SMM. English posts are fine for tech circles & diaspora, but to actually reach more Kenyan businesses the algo pushes Swahili/mix harder. It creates extra work just to be visible in your own market and diaspora. Anyone else building tools feeling this, ama niko mavitu?

On a enterprise level, make a core part of the software free and have reasonable, and importantly, one off pricing for extra features

Niliona a Kenyan charades game yenye inaelewa the Kenyan mind. Some free categories, and as people figure out the questions, they want to unlock new ones ndio wasishindwe. Each category is 50 bob. The only time nishaona watu hulia kuchanga 100 ya Spotify wakilipa software😆

This is the comment I was looking for. Thank you. I'd say that if you're developing for most African use-cases prepaid is the way to do it.

Tell them you have to pay every month and you’ve lost them. Tell them you pay every year and you’ve pick one or two. And oh, this works B2B, B2C is a different story altogether

Ndio niliambia mzee hapa. That's the only model that works for Kenya x.com/DARTender_/status/2065…

Pay per use. That's the only model that effectively works here. Mambo ya subscription huwa ngumu

The school made a false fire alarm to monitor how the students would respond. Do you think this is a good idea?

Those who have tried Reddit, how’s it?
Your product just launched. You have $0 for marketing. How will you get users?

I have limit the number of times I share links of what I’m building because it messes with X algorithm which may results in your future posts getting less engagements or views. Maybe we need a market place where people can post their projects there or what they are selling “Our algorithm tries to optimize time spent on X, so links don’t get as much attention, because there is less time spent if people click away.”
