We need action to tackle unsafe staffing levels before it's too late. Nurses are already burnt out and broken by the burden of responsibility.
This is the time to act. It has to happen now. There were strong feelings at our Safe Staffing Summit at RCN headquarters today.
ALT Quote from Professor Pat Cullen reads: I believe we need ratios, and we need them in legislation. We need to push responsibility for patient safety away from the frontline. Nurses have all the responsibility right now, but none of the control. Ratios legislation would shift that responsibility towards the top table.

NHS HW's Jane Gordijn is playing her part in keeping her blood pressure low by raising awareness of cardiovascular disease.
She's running the London marathon in April & asking all over 40s to get a free blood pressure check!
