Make it so the people who originally wrote something can’t read it anymore šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚
Poorly explain what you do for a living.

I am so personally offended by the tanking of this platform, not least because it is making me learn *instagram* to find any of my friends who are literally also at this conference šŸ˜– #ata64

Little dip in the afternoon and I’m back! I’m attending The JEDI Mindset, which has started with a land acknowledgment so we are already off to a fantastic start #ata64

ā€œPerfection is a white supremacist myth.ā€ this is a *phenomenal* presentation, I wish I hadn’t been five minutes late and completely missed which of the two speakers is actually presenting. I’ll update this when I go introduce myself after the session!

Replying to @DeinielAparicio
@DeinielAparicio hello! I wanted to attend your ATA session about sports but had a horrible headache. My main question is, do you follow F1 at all?

…I just realized I posted this *during* your session, I totally lost track of time. I hope it is going well šŸ˜…

This morning I’m starting with Inclusive Language in K-12 Education, combining something I am personally interested in (inclusive language) with something I have no experience with (K-12 Education)

#ata64 Friends who are here! I’m just chilling in the lobby this session, anyone who wants to come say hi I haven’t seen yet. Or if I don’t know you and you want to practice networking. I don’t bite!

Is this platform just dead? I accidentally functionally took a year off from translation as an industry and I can't tell if I'm expecting more tweets (I'm still calling them tweets and no one can stop me) from #ata64 unfairly or not. I feel like things used to be chattier?

Okay #ATA64 let's go! I'm in the French fashion session for this first time slot, presented by Liza Tripp (her copresenter unfortunately has COVID)

I'm seeking input for an essay I'm writing on literary translation. Looking for folks to contribute statements on the #1 thing they'd like to see change in publishing (any aspect), translation itself, or even reading. I'd love to include as many names as possible in this piece!

A great way to do social media is to ask a question when everyone is asleep. Pro tip. Reupping this during daylight hours šŸ˜†
I am *fascinated* to note that the last time I actually got on this twitter was almost exactly a year ago, cause it was ATA then and it's about to be ATA again now. So, friends, who's going and who wants to have a meal/have coffee/say hi?

Why am I not at ATA this week? Turns out I’m a trans person and I’m working on transitioning to live as a trans man! Which is great, but surprisingly exhausting and a conference just wasn’t in the cards. My name remains Sam (will be changing to Samuel, but, Sam) He/him pronouns

Also! I am aware that about half of everything with my name on it is currently wrong! Transition is a slow process, especially the part where you have to tediously change your name/pronouns on every. single. thing. everywhere. So listen to me here and ignore anything else!

@andrewlevine be proud of me for making words in a reasonably concise, informative order šŸ˜‚ā¤ļø
