VIGIL FOR PRESTON DAVEY. TUESDAY 16th June 6pm.. On Tuesday 16th June we will be gathering in Preston Flag market at 6pm to hold a tribute to the short and tragic life of Preston Davey whose life was tragically taken while in adoption. This tribute has been organised by some local ladies led by Niamh Clarke, a local mother with three children who I have spoke to and who was/is determined to keep Prestons voice alive and a number of child abuse survivors/ adoptess from across the country will be attending. S.A.F.E. Seek And Find Everyone, abused in childhood together with Adoptee Rights UK @ScottishAAM will be travelling from Scotland to support this vigil.. I am travelling to Preston tomorrow (Thursday) to meet with Niamh who I have spoke on the phone with to discuss a plan of action and to make sure we get the right message out. We also hope to go around the town and hand out some fliers to raise awareness of the event.. We will have various speakers and at 9pm we will have a piper playing "Highland Cathedral" which is the child abuse anthem and then we will invite everyone to step up and light a candle that will be layed out on tables. If front of the tables on the ground we will lay out a large rug so that people can lay down flowers and toys and dolls and teddy bears and pictures of baby Preston. We will then hold a minutes silence to remember the life of Preston and all those children whose lifes have been taken or lost because of child abuse.. We will then have the piper play "When the battle is over" (as a lament) This tune is a reminder of all our determination to never stop fighting until all child abuse ends across the whole of the UK. The plan then is to gather together with LED lights and allow people to have their voices heard and also for a moment of prayer... At ten pm we are hoping to release a number of helium ballons and end the night by promising each other that we will always put our families first and we will remind everyone that we must never stop loving each other and telling each other within our families how much we love them every day..Amen.🙏 IT TIME TO PUT PUT OUR CHILDREN FIRST..

The defence rests in the Preston Davey case. The whole of the child abuse and the adoption community are all waiting to see justice served on the people who destroyed this little boys life..R.I.P. I lost my wife when she was just three months pregnant. She died completely unexpectedely of natural causes in my arms when we had just been married for five weeks. I also lost the baby. Its something that shatters all your hopes and your dreams and it lives with you every day and it affects every realtionship you have after that, and when you see a childs life being taken away like Prestons it opens your heart again and fills you with all kind of emotions.. This case is hard because it shows an adoption system that once again failed our children and it hits home hard to all of us whe went through the adoption system and the care system as children. I just cant wait for the day when I will be reunited in Heaven with my wife Alice and my baby and we will spend eternity in everlasting love and peace..Amen.💕 Can I just pass on a number for a child bereavement charity for anyone who is or will be struggling when the full facts of this case comes out.. SANDS. Supporting bereaved families. Helpline: 0808 164 3332. Email: helpline@sands.org.uk

Too often ‘therapy’ means encouraging empathy/understanding of the abuser’s traumas and taking ownership for your ‘part’ in the abuse so you don’t get abused again. All wrong. Perpetrators make the choice to abuse and you have no ‘part’ in it - all ‘parts’ belong to the abuser.

I have been on my own since I left the care system fifty years ago and all my life I have prayed for some thing like @ThePromiseScot to come along..To now know that this has been nothing any of us hoped or were told would happen and to discover that members of staff have had tgheir cars set on fire and may have been threatened into silence is heartbreaking...

Bit of a let down artical to all those who contrabuted The article uses a personal story partly to support the case for recognition of the harms of forced adoption and an apology, but it is not really an article about adoptee activism or the wider adoptee-rights movement

Today was the first day of survivors and campaigners to come together with The Times and talk about how and why so many victims and survivors of child sex abuse end up in prison. We are meeting again next week when I will bring more survivors with real harrowing stories..🙏❤️🙏❤️

The number one question we all have to ask is why is it that 75% of people in prisons across the UK are people who were sexually abused as children, predominantly in the care system and why has this stat never changed in fifty/sixty years. Therin lies the evidence that the judicial/criminal justice system is an organised criminal enterprise that has gone on across the whole of the UK unquestioned and unchallenged for so many years. We know that this has been happening since people like myself left the care system in the seventies and were put straight onto prescribed medication and then a life oof addiction, crime and prison and early graves. Tomorrow I’m travelling down to London to meet some grooming gang survivors and some press to start a conversation about this. We also plan to send a special message of hope to all the victims of the grooming gangs in London that survivors across the whole of the UK and Ireland stand with you.. SURVIVORS UNITED...
