अटलजी ने लोगों का पेंशन बन्द करवाया तथा स्वयं जीवन भर पेंशन लेते रहे। कथित रुप से 14 अगस्त को ही मर चुके थे। उनके शव को तीन दिनों तक अग्नि के स्पर्श हेतु रुकना पड़ा। कर्मवाद निष्ठुर है। उसने स्वयं को परब्रह्म कहने वाले कृष्ण तक को नहीं छोड़ा तो हमपर दया क्यों ही करेगा!
