Google launched an AI dictation app. 5 minutes in, it is clear why @letterlyai has nothing to worry about. Why does Google keep winning at research and losing at consumer apps?

Guy makes $250,000 per month with a VERY simple app. Keep. it. simple. stupid! @Samarsky and I talked for a few hours. Here’s the top 4% of our chat: > His simple app that generates $3m/year (1:30) > The ONE thing $0 MRR founders ignore (3:44) > How to build simple apps in 2026 (7:20) > The tools that power his $250k MRR app (10:55) > The steps he would take if he had to start over today (12:08)

MORE FEATURES ARE KILLING YOUR STARTUP This guy makes $250K/month with LESS FEATURES THAN YOU. Instead of adding more features, he ruthlessly removes them. And instead, focuses on what users ACTUALLY care about: > UX > Simplicity > "Is this easy to use?" UX > features > code

Super inspiring case on growing and bootstrapping a mobile app. Congrats to Letterly team ✨
How we went from $0 to $1.1M with a simple app. I break it down on the Starter Story YouTube channel.

Go follow this guy if you’re into bootstrapped SaaS. Their approach to marketing and product is killer. Anton’s office is in the same space as mine. Seen how they build it up close. They’re the real deal.
We spend $200k/month on ads. This money comes entirely from revenue. We’re 100% bootstrapped. Why not just take profit now? For the first 1.5 years, Letterly grew with $0 ad spend: word of mouth a few viral moments. It worked — but it was random. To make growth predictable, we now reinvest almost everything into paid ads. Sometimes we even lose money in month 1 — but LTV pays it back later. Small salaries. Long-term focus. Goal: millions per month, not quick profit.

The Starter Story video is back! I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who supported and helped bring attention to this. Huge thanks to @thepatwalls for navigating this so quickly. And thanks to @TeamYouTube for reviewing and resolving the issue. 🙏

Hey @TeamYouTube it's been almost 24 hours and still no word from you guys. Your response (or lack thereof) not only affects me, but affects our team of 8 producers, editors, and others worldwide that work across the channel. I'm afraid to do anything with the channel right now, so I would just appreciate ANY answers or information you can give. If you can email, comment, DM me, ANYTHING, that would be greatly appreciated.

WOW! @YouTube removed our latest Starter Story video. Not even demonetized…. 100% DELETED! They claim we violated their "dangerous content policy" by claiming "guaranteed returns" or promoting a pyramid scheme (we never, ever do that sort of thing). Guys... this could be the end of Starter Story! If this happens 2 more times OUR ENTIRE CHANNEL WILL BE DELETED! As you know starter story is an interview show - we interview the underdog founders - the type of people who wouldn't get covered by any other media outlets. And for this video specifically, we vetted the story, did our due diligence, and everything (as we always do) If our YouTube videos helped you in any way over the years, I'd love if you tagged @TeamYouTube in the replies. I hope to keep making content for you guys but man this is scary...

An older customer complained that Letterly doesn't have phone support. 🤯 He said he'd ask his nephew, an AI professor, whether we're worth trusting. Turns out his nephew has been using Letterly for over a year!

Vitamin or painkiller? In the beginning I wasn't sure: am I creating a vitamin or a painkiller? Many people told me it was a vitamin. But for me, it was a painkiller. And after building it, I realized -- I’m not alone! We should be careful about who we listen to.

These guys helped us grow to $100K in monthly revenue
Huge congrats to @letterlyai on hitting $100K MRR! 🔥🚀 Smart ads, a product people love, and conversion-optimized funnels built with Lemon Slice 🍋 — a winning combo. Glad we are a part of the mix!

I'm bad at writing. I'm much better at articulating my ideas in meetings or during a talk. But when it comes to sitting down and writing them out, it's tough. It's almost impossible. I get stuck in the first paragraph and rewrite it until the time is up, and I have to move on to another task without writing anything. Some time ago, I started using Letterly to write with my voice: - I talk - app transcribes - I slightly or significantly rewrite it I then use this text to read and understand how clear I am. I might talk again about some parts that are not clear enough. Then, I spend time editing and rewriting even more. But it's much easier now when I have a draft. The task has transformed from writing from scratch to editing to make it more structured. It's like having an assistant who writes and edits for you so you can further develop your thoughts. By the way, I'm writing this post with the help of voice writing.
