So they paid $6.5BN for Humane's AI Pin that already failed in the market?
I continue to not see the point of these extra 'AI devices' when everyone already has a very powerful AI device with the perfect form factor in their pocket.
WSJ on Jony Ive and Sam Altman’s OpenAI device:
• The product will be capable of being fully aware of a user's surroundings and life, will be unobtrusive, able to rest in one's pocket or on one's desk, and will be a third core device a person would put on a desk after a MacBook Pro and an iPhone.
• The Journal earlier reported that the device won't be a phone, and that Ive and Altman's intent is to help wean users from screens.
• Altman said that the device isn't a pair of glasses, and that Ive had been skeptical about building something to wear on the body.

Fully support this: the US has the best AI companies: time to get them to help improve the very unimpressive and inefficient education system. Just hoping it's done right for once and not through chaos, fire and fury.
Contrary to what everyone is saying about AI 'ripping off Studio Ghibli', I believe that the Sora Ghibli hype was an incredible boost for Ghibli's productions that will also bring them oodles of added revenue and other opportunities.
For everyone not knowing economics 101 thinking 'tariffs can replace income tax': income tax already replaced tariffs 100 years ago for VERY good reasons.
Tariffs raise prices, hurt trade, fuel inequality, hinder int'l collaboration, are unpredictable & economically inefficient.
‘It produces forgetfulness in the minds of those who learn to use it, because they will not practice their memory.’
No, not the latest research on AI, but Socrates on the dangers of learning to write.
We always fear progress.
But progress is mostly good.
Pre-AI: I have so many ideas, but no time or skills to make any of them.
Post-AI: I can now make all of my ideas, but can't decide which ones to make.
Every abundance creates a new scarcity.
Made a Berghain 2025 playlist to work furiously to with Suno AI and compared it to Spotify's Berghain 2025 playlist... And at least for me the Suno AI version is far better! Now if I could just find a DJ AI to mix the tracks together.

Wow, this is one of the best AI commercials I've ever seen.
David Blagojevic created this for less than $400 in AI subscriptions.
This would have previously cost $400K
Times are changing. Anything is possible.
