Kudos to Mrs. Firmbach and the science department. Currently we have 3 hydroponic growing towers in our school. 7th grade students are growing fresh lettuce and herbs in the classrooms. Planting took place Monday 5/1 and we already have growth. @SachemSchools

NJHS students, @suz_anne11 and Samoset Middle School collected over 2,000 books supporting the @bookfairiesworldwide. The organization sources and redistributes books to under resourced communities on LI and NYC.

Tuesday night Samoset students got to watch the Islanders play at UBS Arena for free thanks to the generous ticket donation from Kids in Seats. More free tickets to different events will be available to students and families.

Congrats to Samoset 7th Grader Karan Cabuk who recently went to Cairo, Egypt December 14-19 to compete for the Team USA Junior Dodgeball Team in the Dodgeball World Cup. Team USA took Silver in the tournament. Way to go Karan. @SachemSchools
