Good evening guys, please read carefully
π¨ SCAM ALERT π¨
An account on X that you may or may not have come across reached out to me yesterday with this message.
At first glance, it looked harmless.
The person claimed they wanted to interview me for a project called βWEB3 in My Life.β
Since I wasnβt comfortable clicking random links, I sent them my own Google Meet link and told them to join if they were genuinely interested in conducting an interview.
Thatβs when things got weird.
Instead of joining my meeting, they kept insisting that I join using THEIR link.
Not once.
Not twice.
Over and over again.
π© RED FLAG #1
If your goal is genuinely to interview someone, why does it matter whose meeting link is used?
After a long back-and-forth, I simply told them:
βIf youβre serious about the interview, join using my link.β
Their response?
βNah, Iβm good.β
And just like that, the βinterviewβ was over.
Funny how someone who was so eager to interview me suddenly lost interest the moment I refused to click their link.
Please be careful.
Scammers are becoming more creative and are now impersonating Web3 founders, investors, recruiters, researchers, and media personalities to gain your trust.
Never click random links.
Always verify identities.
Stay safe and share this so others donβt fall for it.
