ನಾವು ಮಹಿಳೆಯರಿಗೆ ಉಚಿತ ಪ್ರಯಾಣದ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ಘೋಷಿಸಿದಾಗ ಶ್ರಮಪಡದೆ ಸಮಾಜದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಧದ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂತಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಅನುಭವಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಜನರಿಂದ ತರತರನಾದ ಟೀಕೆಗಳು, ಕುಹಕ, ವ್ಯಂಗ್ಯಗಳು ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾದವು. ಅದ್ಯಾವುದಕ್ಕೂ ತಲೆಕೆಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಇಂದು ಶಕ್ತಿ ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ಜಾರಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟೆವು. ನಮ್ಮ ಯೋಜನೆ ಜಾರಿಗೊಂಡ ನಂತರ ತಾಯಿಯೊಬ್ಬರು ಧಾರವಾಡ ಬಸ್ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ನಮಸ್ಕರಿಸಿ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಉಚಿತ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಬೆಳೆಸಿದರು. ನಾವು ಎಷ್ಟು ಅನುದಾನ ಖರ್ಚು ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆ ಎನ್ನುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಯಾರಿಗಾಗಿ ಆ ಹಣ ವಿನಿಯೋಗಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂಬುದು ಮುಖ್ಯ. ಈ ಕ್ಷಣ ಇನ್ನೂ ನೂರು ವಿಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಟೀಕೆಗಳು ಎದುರಾದರೂ ಅದ್ಯಾವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಕುಗ್ಗದಂತೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಗುರಿಯೆಡೆಗೆ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ದೃಢವಾಗಿಸಿದೆ. ಯೋಜನೆ ಜಾರಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ನನಗೆ ಸಂತೃಪ್ತಿ ನೀಡಿದ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಬಹುಕಾಲ ನೆನಪಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿಯುವ ಚಿತ್ರವಿದು.
