It is my belief that a nation which tolerates the printing of Mein Kampf is preferable to that which adds it to the pile of burning books. Evil is often best defeated in the open, where ideas can be expressed and truth pursued without fear of cancellation or censorship. (1/2)

Censorship is not the answer unless you believe there are men so good as to bind your tongue to speak only that which is called virtue. In knowing myself best, I know of no such men. (2/2)
He that breaks a thing to find out what it is has left the path of wisdom. – J.R.R. Tolkien
There are too many people, especially among the intelligentsia, who will never appreciate the things that have made this country great until after those things have been destroyed — with their help. Then, of course, it will be too late.

We seem to be getting closer and closer to a situation where nobody is responsible for what they did but we are all responsible for what somebody else did.

Today marks the 70th Anniversary of the start of the Korean War. Sometimes called “The Forgotten War." I am proud to have served in that conflict alongside some of the bravest patriots I have ever known. Let us never forget the American sacrifice during Korea.

Today marks 75 years since the Marine Corps launched an amphibious assault onto the island of Iwo Jima, beginning one of the bloodiest battles in our nation’s history. Join us over the next 36 days as we honor the uncommon valor that was a common virtue because #WeAreIwo.

To witness those who've been offered a chance to live, using their lives to offer others the same chance, never ceases to encourage. I'm reminded to live out the life I've been given with eudaemonia, gratitude, and purpose.

Let their stories be told! youtu.be/6cT6lcDbWC8
