Thank you Ms. Nora from Knoxville Suzuki Academy for coming to @GMASteam to teach #kinders about violins and violas! We enjoyed listening and explaining how the different notes and sounds made us feel. And of course we loved trying them out ourselves!
Thank you Ms. Brittney with @knoxbeautiful for coming in this week to teach @GMASteam#kinders about pollution. We learned about several ways people accidentally and carelessly pollute our rivers and how hard it is to clean up after it happens.
First grade students cutting perfect circles with our newest Design Lab tool, the ChompSaw! What a fun tool for students (and staff)! They were so excited to use it and proud of their perfect cardboard circles! 🪚🪚 @GMASteam@jamiekelly2018
Thank you Ms. Erica with Garden Alliance for coming to @GMASteam and helping us get our raised garden beds started for students to harvest. #kinders are excited to get our hands dirty planting seeds after spring break!
Reading to local 2nd graders today has me hopeful for the future. They listened, asked great questions, provided insight on the stories I read and wanted to spend a lot of time
discussing compound words. Kudos to
them

Just because it’s a half day doesn’t mean we can do STEAM! Their challenge is 20 min to build a package for 2 candy canes out of construction paper and tape that will protect them from getting broken. @GMASteam
