Microbes found by Dr. Tanvi Govil and her team, deep below the earth at SURF, are being used to engineer enzymes that can pull CO2 gas directly from coal-fired power plant emissions. The new technology could help reduce carbon in the atmosphere.

One new rope for the Ross Cage.
SURF recently completed a full wire rope change on the Ross Cage. This system safely transports people, equipment, and materials nearly a mile below the surface.

This beam weighs nearly 8 tons and measures 43 feet in length. This successful test lift marks a step toward transporting 2,100 structural components for @DUNEscience.
Building DUNE is like building a ship in a bottle... except the neck of that bottle is nearly a mile long.
