The Second #TrainingofTrainers workshop in partnership with @KWETB took place this week. It was a pleasure working with this group throughout this training programme. The small activity of #Davincisbridge provided a fun but serious moment which engaged the pillars of #GCE. @SaoltaEd is looking forward to engaging with @KWETB again in the future. @Irish_Aid @MaynoothUni @devperspectives @AontasIreland @Concern @CorkETB @irishrurallink

After 7 incredible years with us, it’s time to say goodbye and thank you to @NickJDoran as he finishes up his journey with #Saolta. As Programme Manager, Nick has been such a big part of the team — not just through all his hard work, but through the laughs, chats, and the passion he brings to everything he does – not to mention all the kayaking lessons! Best of luck Nick, you'll be missed! ❤️

Saolta's latest resource is now available on our website - Our Shared Humanity: saolta.com/elements/resource… This resource is designed to be used in conjunction with the delivery of QQI Module 4N1131, Personal and Interpersonal Development. Our Shared Humanity brings together the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Inner Development Goals (IDGs) in an engaging and accessible way for the Adult & Community Education sector in Ireland. From a GCE perspective, the SDGs invite us to see ourselves as active participants in an interconnected world - Engaging with the SDGs supports critical thinking, social justice, and collective action by linking global issues to our own lived experiences, both at home, and in our local communities. The Inner Development Goals (IDGs) then complement the SDGs, by making these global aspirations personal to us. Through the IDGs, we are encouraged to reflect on our own values, power, and identity, and how these shape the different ways that we interact with the world.

🌟 Meet the people behind Development Perspectives 🌟 Next in our team introductions, we’re delighted to introduce Nick Doran, Saolta’s Programme Manager. Nick brings a fascinating background in Media and Critical Linguistics, which he has shared through his work with youth groups and universities. He is passionate about equality and sustainability, and has written extensively on the ways power is distributed unequally across society. Always curious and full of ideas, Nick is someone who loves asking questions, exploring perspectives, and is liable to be drawn into a spontaneous debate. Outside of work, Nick is a kayaker, an adventure enthusiast, a board games aficionado, and a kimchi lover. We’re so lucky to have Nick’s energy, insight, and passion helping shape the Saolta programme and the learning experiences it creates.
