First - we're training lots more staff right here in the UK.
This is what the NHS has told us it needs to care for us into the future - that’s what we’re delivering.
So by 2037, there will be at least an extra:
🩺 170k nurses
🥼 60k doctors
❤️🩹 71k healthcare professionals
ALT Train more staff. By 2031, we will double the number of medical training places. Increase the number of GP training places by 50%, Nearly double the number of training places for nurses.

So you are going to train an extra 1400 diagnostic radiographers by 2031. 160ish trusts in England so 9 per trust. Mazeltov, that'll fix it Steve! How many will retire by 2031 or leave the profession because they are being flogged with a punishing unsustainable shift system?
