15th & final Honorable Mention: "Go Within" by

An Artwork that really stood out, as
@edouard explains: "This film presents an interesting and rare attempt (the only one among the submissions) to reinterpret abstract postwar art using AI. It does not simply animate The Square Man by Karel Appel, but narrativizes it. What could seem like a stretch at first, turning an abstract postwar figure into a family-friendly protagonist, becomes more coherent when viewed through the lens of the CoBrA movement. Appel cofounded the CoBrA movement three years before this painting. The flat, rigid, block-like figure in it becomes a character, initially confined to a Brutalist, Corbusian architectural environment, which could visually embody the rational, structured postwar order that CoBrA’s spontaneous, childlike expression implicitly resisted. As the short story unfolds, the character eventually finds the way toward a more playful, organic environment where it looks like it belongs."
