It should not be taken lightly that a sitting Member of Congress is advocating for the deportation of an American citizen due to their perceived political beliefs.
This would be a direct violation of the First Amendment.
Republican Congressman Mike Collins says Bishop Mariann Budde should be deported after she asked Donald Trump for grace towards immigrants and the LGBTQ community.
Budde was born in New Jersey and is a US citizen.
