Dear developers,
At some point in your life, you’re gonna meet someone who’ll be obsessed with you and will want you all the time.
This person is your manager 😂
🚨 Anthropic just showed a 24-minute workshop on how to actually do prompts for Claude.
Taught by the people who built it.
Free. No registration. No paywall.
I've seen $300 courses that don't cover what they teach in the first 8 minutes.
Watch it and bookmark it now.
Generic quote but did he lie? It made me realize how surface-level we can be when we don’t go deep into a domain. His session was elite. I lowkey want to be like him when I grow up lol.
Met cool people, learned a lot, didn’t lose my phone this time lol🤧

A key non-tech takeaway for me was importance of building for everyone, every device, every pocket. Also @a_omogbai said, “If you want to keep something from an African man, hide it in a book.”

Pulled up for DevFest Lagos for the first time and honestly, it was too good. As a budding dev, I didn’t catch everything 😂 but I picked up gems on GCP workflows, accessibility, AI ecosystems, and my fav, building trustworthy AI agents.

Came into the UK with 2 goals;
1. Become a Cyber Security Analyst
2. Become a Software Test Analyst
I paid over £900 for the Software Test training with money I was making from picking shifts and couldn't get a decent QA job after the training. Meanwhile, my Credit Card limit was increasing drastically and my credit score was 900 .
I got into the @Cyblackorg internship and this required full attention. I had to stop picking shifts and only pick shift when absolutely neccessary. There are days I will be on my way back from shift and will join internship meetings while driving.
I still had to fulfil by obligation as a man at home and by so doing, I maxed out my credit card of over £5000 and my credit score took a significant hit (dropped to below 400). This affected me getting other credit facilities. But it was all in the plan. 2-3 months after my intership, I got a Cyber Security role and as of today, I have paid back my loan and taking on financial responsibilties I used to dream about.
I’ve been quietly building, but I just haven’t posted much, part imposter syndrome, part “I’ll post when it’s perfect.”
But that mindset doesn’t aid growth. I’m done waiting. It’s time to show up and build in public, even if it’s not perfect yet.
Let’s go. 🚀#buildinpublic
