Productive discussion with H.E. Minister Haneen Sayed on ensuring displaced people across Lebanon receive the support they need. Strong coordination between @Save_Children, national partners, and the Government of Lebanon is essential as humanitarian needs continue to rise.
Today I had the pleasure to meet Lebanese President Joseph Aoun & discussed the staggering humanitarian toll of this war on children. With 1 mln pple displaced & 100 children killed, the situation is critical. There's urgent need of safe access to shelter, education, protection.
All children have the right to access a safe education, and schools should always be a haven for children – not a battlefield. Every effort must now be made to prevent further escalation in the Middle East. Every war is a war on children. @Save_Children
UNIQLO is supporting our humanitarian responses around the world & Youth Empowerment Projects in Cambodia, Bangladesh, Thailand, Madagascar, Uganda through the proceeds from PEACE FOR ALL Campaign.
I visited the UNIQLO Tokyo Office & discussed our future collaboration.
While in #Japan this week, I visited the Children and Families Agency to discuss the current environment surrounding children in Japan, and we had a very meaningful and productive dialogue. SC Japan @scjapan will continue to work to ensure the rights of children.
PRESS CONFERENCE-In Sudan in the past week I saw the devastation of nearly 3 yrs of war & the impact on children, many missing school for 500 days. Sudan is facing one of the worst education emergencies. This is a crisis in a crisis. All children deserve to learn & a future.
As we enter 2026, children globally are facing their greatest levels of need ever. We can change that. We have to reshape our systems so that, no matter how the world changes, we can put children first, always, everywhere. Read how here. aje.io/0ga0ox via @AJEnglish

Delighted to meet @jacindaardern on the sidelines of #UNGA#UNGA80 for a great discussion on how to keep children and their rights at the centre at this pivotal moment.
At #UNGA I signed a new partnership with the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre @KSRelief@KSRelief_EN. I warmly welcome this opportunity to bolster our ability to meet the needs of children in emergencies so more get healthcare, go to school, have happy childhoods.
Honoured to take part in today’s launch of a new Declaration for the Protection of Humanitarian Personnel on #UNGA sidelines. We just had the deadliest year for aid workers. It’s a moral & legal duty to protect those helping others & we need a stronger commitment to do this.
