We share our stunning chalk hill overlooking the sea with a Neolithic monument, fantastic downland wildlife and the best views in the city of Brighton and Hove
Hello! Can anyone recommend a good source for organic seed potatoes in Brighton? I normally buy mine at @SeedySundayBton but obviously that's not been able to take place this year :((
Please give this a plug. At @BrightonFactory we really need a second large refrigerator van as demand for fresh produce in the emergency food hubs grows, but there’s insufficient funds or income for this. Can you or someone you know help us out?
We are getting busier each week as part of the emergency food response in Brighton. We need a second large refrigerated van as we need to go east & west to farms to pick up produce. We don’t have funds to hire a 2nd van tho. Can you help? Or do you know someone who can? Pls RT
If you're in favour of safer walking and cycling routes in our city for all, please consider reading the short proposal then signing and sharing this petition, thank you 🙂🚶♀️🚶♂️🚲🚴♀️

May 1st, happy Beltane! Those of us who normally celebrate, Spring is still happening out there - I'm going to remember beautiful May Days of the past, light a candle and wish for their return. White rabbits, rabbits and hares.

Our Head Gardener, Tom Brown, proved to be a natural in front of the camera when the BBC team arrived to film at West Dean Gardens, before the lockdown. You can see @HeadGardenerTom and our Gardens starring this Friday in Gardeners’ World @GWandShows at 8pm on BBC2.
Hi all, Brighton & Hove Allotment Federation has produced this darned useful poster at the request of site reps across the city. It's designed to be printed off and displayed on our site gates, but I thought it might be helpful to have it here

Brighton and Hove allotmenteers - rumours are swirling that the council is not turning our water supply back on - please see photo below from BHAF on their Facebook page stating that the council WILL be turning it on (it may just take longer than usual due to Covid-19) Hurrah!
Many people are wondering if going to their allotments is still okay. See the vid below, and the sensible guidelines given by DEFRA. Local authorities and other site owners may decide to make their own rules of course.

Hello, Brighton & Hove allotment people - as you can see from the photo below, BHAF has sensibly decided to shelve the 1st April AGM for now. I'll share a new date once it's announced ^Vicki

There are 22 boundary stones to the ancient Racehill Common, 2 more lost under encroaching bramble: the Sussex #sarsen & Sussex marble stone. Join us at 9.50am outside Dobbies, top Elm Grove, #Brighton, for the Beating of the Bounds!

We're being asked what #BeatingtheBounds is. Before maps, possibly Saxon times, possibly earlier, a community would walk the boundaries of their local common/parish, beating the boundary stones or marks with sticks to commit them to collective memory. #WhitehawkHill#tradition
Look at this great free event (with wine and cheese!) For Brighton & Hove allotment holders and co-workers! Wednesday 1st April at the Brighthelm Centre - it's on my calendar!
