First & foremost this is a very good movie for a time such as this.
Not sure I’ve seen a movie as timely as this - seeing the whole internet was agog just few weeks ago on how greedy gospel music ministers have been.
That’s by the way…
While I was mid-way this movie, I remembered a story of a very young popular gospel music minister & one of the foremost among the new generation of ministers (I won’t mention his name) but EVERYONE knows him.
His music was on the lips of everyone, he was the hottest; until few years back when he went to minister in a church & in just a month or so, he faded away. After a few years of been in oblivion, he traced back what had happened, he traced it back to that so called church. Apparently that church had an evil altar.
He even did collab with Don Moen, that song no reach anywhere. It was a very pitiful situation if you followed his story.
He had to connect to Dr Paul Enenche who laid hands on him & prayed for him; until then was he able to start getting his footing again.
LESSONS FOR GOSPEL MUSIC MINISTERS:
1. Live a life that’s pleasing to God & upright in your conduct
2. Be a member of a local assembly. Be planted, rooted there & serve there
3. Be accountable to your pastor there. Let him be your cover as a shepherd
4. Never let money be a priority for you, rather let the transformation of lives through your music be the focus - the money will follow definitely.
I sincerely pray that God will help our ministers to do right.
Thank you
