THE LYING CHURCH: Lies, forgeries and more lies.
The papacy wants people to believe God founded the Roman Catholic Church and that its authority came came from God, therefore, it is clean, holy, and unquestionable. But that is just a sales pitch. It is a polished version they want the world to swallow. History, however, tells a dirtier story.
The papacy did not, and still does not, stand on Scripture, and its history of bloodshed is greater than ISIS, Al Qaeda, and the Taliban combined. However, we are not even talking here about the bloodshed, its role in the slave trade, or the way its record makes Epstein look like a prince. We are talking about the fact that history shows it is full of lying wonders. It is dishonest. It did not just open the Bible, preach the truth, and let the facts speak for themselves.
The growth of the papacy leaned on lies, manipulation, brainwashing, false documents, manufactured claims, and forged materials that helped prop up its authority and make its power look ancient, sacred, and untouchable.
We are not talking about a small mistake, a copying error, or some harmless church confusion. We are talking about full fledged forged documents, deliberate fabrications, and fake records used to make it look older, holier, and more apostolic than they really were.
Here are some of the best known examples that I found:
1. The Donation of Constantine.
This is a fabricated document, from the eighth century, claiming Constantine handed the pope sweeping religious and civil power in the West. It was false, yet it helped feed papal claims of elevated authority for centuries.
2. The Pseudo Isidorian Decretals, also called the False Decretals.
A collection of forged letters and rulings falsely attributed to early popes and councils, likely compiled in the ninth century. These were used to strengthen church power and later served as support for broader papal claims.
3. The Symmachean Forgeries.
A set of forged texts used to defend papal privilege and push the claim that the pope could not be judged by lesser human authority.
4. The Privilegium Maius.
This one was not a papal forgery in origin, however it belongs in the wider world of forged medieval power documents, where false paperwork was used to inflate authority and manufacture legitimacy.
5. Forged saints’ lives.
These are stories and writings that they forged and made to look like ancient truth in order to create a false impression of holiness, support, and religious credibility where that support did not really exist.
6. Forged relic documents.
There are papers and claims used to push relics as authentic, often for reverence, influence, money, or all three.
7. Spurious papal letters.
These are letters falsely attributed to earlier popes so later claims could be made to look ancient, apostolic, and unquestionable.
There are more, however, my research is ongoing. These lies.and forgeries are not innocent records Rome just happened to find lying around in a dusty corner somewhere. These were fabrications made to look old, made to look real, and made to carry weight they did not deserve. The point is that Rome used them, preserved them, circulated them, and benefited from them.
I brought this up because Catholics cannot keep telling people that their authority came straight from God while history shows them bolstering their power using lies, forged documents, false claims, and manufactured support. A church built on Christ needs no help from fraud.
A lie in a purple, scarlet and white robes is still a lie. A forgery in a church archive is still a forgery. A false claim repeated for centuries does not become holy because it got old, and looks holy. People are being deceived and time for Rome to be exposed as the beast system, it is.
