Congrats to @justinlkurth, one of CO-07 & Fremont County's very own scholars on the publication of your fascinating research on how space debris impacts foreign policy by @CSPC_DC! Justin is CSU Pueblo's 1st Presidential Fellow - the first of many to come! bit.ly/3QVgk2A

I keep thinking about this headline. In May 2020 100,000 deaths was an incalculable loss. Yet we have now lost nearly 400,000 people to COVID in the US over the last year (Sep 2021 to Sep 2022), & "the pandemic is over." This is what the normalization of mass death looks like.

Someday, if Congress gets its act together on funding, we may get a pan-coronavirus vaccine. Until then, get your booster!
The new bivalent vaccines are here in Colorado! This means they will target both the original and the omicron strain of the virus. I’m signed up for Friday — will you join me in staying fully vaccinated? 💉 Visit covid19.colorado.gov/vaccine… to find a CO clinic near you!

Microplastics? You're skiing on them. Hiking on them. Yes, it's kind of depressing. But let's see what the researchers say. coloradosun.com/2022/07/31/m…
Thank you for continuing to negotiate Senator. Now let’s get the bill over the finish line.
We have a deal! The Senate will vote to tackle climate change and cut costs for families. I’m proud my colleagues refused to give up the fight, even when the odds were long. Congress should stay in session as long as it takes to get this bill to President Biden’s desk.

Summary: This is about the best climate legislation climate advocates could hope for from the current congress. More aggressive climate policy is necessary, and that will require massive turnout of progressives in the Fall mid-term elections. #ClimateCrisis #Midterms2022
Manchin/Schumer climate deal: 1. Gets us on path to lower carbon emission 40% by 2030, close to needed 50%. 2. BUT support for new fossil fuel infrastructure is incompatible w/ those goals. 3. Big step forward; more work needed. I'll discuss w/ @ChrisJansing 1:15pm ET @MSNBC

We don’t share many fundraisers, but we’re big fans of Skype-a-Scientist and Sarah Mack around here, so help ‘‘em out of you can and close those CO circles!
If you can't donate to this fundraiser, another really useful way to support our effort is to RT our tweets, especially if you add a quote tweet encouraging folks from your region to help out! Skype a Scientist is super grassroots. We operate on small lifts from many hands!
