Tomorrow, I've got my final "booster" sessions with Year 11 before chemistry paper 2 on Friday. We'll be together for 360 minutes, and will cover the highest impact parts of the paper.
Mini-whiteboards, exam questions, Carousel core knowledge, the works. We make sure to build confidence across the day, and build in loops so students can get a real sense of success. The day is intense, but there's also a sense of camaraderie. We joke around a lot more than we do normally, and I'm bringing snacks for when things falter a bit. There's a beautiful cultural dynamic and a sense of common purpose.
No way a student at home on "study leave" is going to top that.
