1/2 #Conasta69 has ended on a high with the post conference 🪐🔭🌟 @ARC_ASTRO3D Stargazing event at Mount Stromlo with Brad Tucker and myself. Delese Brewster from not only coordinated the event but also made dinner for the 50 Science Teachers and Technicians on the mountain!

This is a sneak peak of Jaydah’s Yr.12 Physics project as part of her Build a Teaching Tool task. She made a Faraday Motor. Initially she used Salt Water as the conducting material, then swapped it out for Gallium which is more conductive @IOPTeaching @ausphysics @sydney_physics

Great to share my Hot Wheels Physics Lab with other teachers from around Australia in a free online Zoom. As you can see in the video, students launch the cars horizontally off the bench and do all the calculations to land the car in a cup. @stansw @ASTA_online @PhysicsANU

Collecting Muons with the Edumod Muon Detector from MDetect at 39’000 ft from Melbourne to Brisbane with @VirginAustralia. The rate count went from 3.1/s at ground level to 120/s at altitude. That is a 40x increase! @astroduff @Perimeter @Swinburne
