1) One year ago today I finally plucked up the courage to pursue my dreams and started up āThe Scouse Scientistā with the following aims:

Stereotypical images of scientists make it impossible for young people to relate to & create barriers to pursuing a career in this field. Most of us donāt look like this šš Be yourself! And you can achieve anything you put your mind to!

In 2010, 70% of you were satisfied with the NHS.
Now, only 24% are.
14 years of Tory government understaffing, underfunding & private sector outsourcing have trashed the NHS into a travesty of the service we want to give you.
It is heartbreaking & so disgustingly wrong š
Visited @AlderHey for #HealthcareScienceWeek How can young people aspire to become #Scientists in the #NHS if they donāt even know that job exists?! Help me spread the word about #HealthcareScientists cos Iām a great believe of āIf you can see it, you can be it!ā
