What Lt-Col Nkoana Joseph Sebola is basically saying at Madlanga Commission is that they would confiscate illicit goods including drugs, foreign currency (dollars) etc at the OR Tambo International Airport, but they would recieve direct calls from senior generals to return the illicit goods to the owners. The drugs they would declare to the media would be returned to the smugglers as soon as the media teams leave. 🙆🏽‍♂️🙆🏽‍♂️🙆🏽‍♂️

Yesterday at Cartrack's head office in Rosebank, a woman named Gcina Dhladhla passed away after reportedly informing management last week that she was unwell. Instead of being supported, she was issued with a warning for being absent from work and was called into meetings regarding her attendance. On Friday morning, Gcina went to work after being threatened with dismissal if she did not report for duty. At around 8:30am, she went to the bathroom. After being inside for an unusually long time, her team leader went to check on her. When there was no response, security was called to open the door. Gcina was found unconscious on the bathroom floor. She had removed her clothing because she was feeling extremely hot. She remained on the floor for a prolonged period while assistance was being arranged. CPR was attempted by individuals who were not trained first aid responders, and it was only later realised that an ambulance had not yet been called. Supervisors managed the situation, A manager went to Netcare in person to request an ambulance. By this stage, Gcina's body had become cold, her hands and feet had turned purple, and she had begun bleeding from the nose. An ambulance only arrived after 11:00am, following intervention from her family, who instructed the company to call emergency services. When paramedics arrived, Gcina had already passed away. Employees from the Debtors Department were then instructed to vacate the building. Gcina had previously complained about the way she was treated by team leaders. Her family, colleagues and the public deserve answers about the circumstances surrounding her death.

Wife loses claim to husband’s R2.3 million pension after affair and child outside marriage A Gauteng High Court has ruled that a woman must forfeit her claim to her estranged husband’s R2.3 million pension fund after finding that her conduct during the marriage constituted substantial misconduct. The ruling, delivered by Judge Noluntu Bam at the North Gauteng High Court, stems from divorce proceedings in which the husband successfully argued that his wife’s extramarital affair with his friend and the subsequent birth of a child with another man justified excluding her from sharing in his pension benefits. Married in community of property in 2011, the couple had lived apart since 2020 and agreed their marriage had irretrievably broken down. They also agreed to divide their joint estate equally except for the pension, which the husband sought to protect, citing his wife’s conduct. During the trial, the court heard that the wife had been unemployed throughout the marriage and engaged in a romantic relationship with one of her husband’s friends while they were still living together. The husband testified he later discovered via a Facebook baby‑shower post that she had given birth to a third child with another man, a revelation the judge described as humiliating for him. Judge Bam accepted the husband’s account and found that allowing the wife to benefit from the pension would amount to an undue advantage, particularly given her new relationship and independence from the marriage. In reaching her decision, the judge noted that the wife’s conduct including procreating with a third party and publicising it amounted to substantial misconduct under Section 9 of the Divorce Act, which permits forfeiture orders when one party would be unduly benefited without them. The court granted the divorce, ordered an equal division of the joint estate excluding the pension benefits, and made provisions for care and maintenance of the minor children. Each party was ordered to pay their own legal costs.
