Just finished a lecture on the importance of #wetlands as a natural climate solution so I put together this slide. Really makes you realise how wetlands have been vilified over the years (and countless other examples from literature too) - great films though!

📢Exciting paper "Salt marsh litter decomposition varies more by litter type than by extent of sea-level inundation". nature.com/articles/s43247-0… Root functional type is a key control of organic matter decay, inundation duration has only a slight effect - with a MEGA marsh organ!
