PhD student in the Hulett lab at the La Trobe Institute for Molecular Science. I work on better understanding the innate defence peptides of crocodiles π
Congratulations to @Scootenburg from the @Hulettlab who was awarded a poster prize for his work on the identification and characterisation of the pH-dependent antifungal saltwater crocodile defensin CpoBD13 at the recent @AusPeptide International Peptide Symposium in Brisbane.
It's been a week since our croc paper was published so it's about time I thanked everyone involved! Huge thank you to all the authors and a big shout out to the @LaTrobeBIP for their assistance with the project! So excited to finally share this work!

My first, first-author review paper is now online on @FrontImmunol! This is a comprehensive review with a unique focus on 1) EV content packaging mechanisms ( in newly discovered EVs), & 2) how they've been harnessed for therapeutic benefit.
