Can I ask why the BBC say that the UK temperature hit over 30 degrees today when in fact it was in London? Probably in an area full of concrete & tarmac.
Where I live in North Northumberland it actually got to the heady height of 22 degrees. Nobody was suffering from heat exhaustion but according to the totally London centric BBC people all over England were really suffering!!

Have spent all day trying to contact Qatar Airways by phone, on line chat & e-mail regarding lost baggage. Why do they make it so difficult. 2 email addresses given to me by their chat line staff apparently no longer exist. Why give them out?

I see Robert Peston has gone very quite today. Not mentioning the strong rise of £Stg v US$. If it was the other way Roughead would have been harking on about a crash! On his terms the US$ has “CRASHED” against the £.
