And you harp on at probationers about standards and you have them in a muster room with leaking windows. I once worked in an station where all harling had fallen off front of building - cement had failed after 20 years. Never got fixed in the 3 years after it happened.
More investment is needed in the police estate, with 11 per cent of the rated ‘poor’ - with buildings showing major defects or not operating adequately. Police Scotland has been accused of using “sticking plasters” to patch up stations. 1919magazine.co.uk/may2026/

This was the public facing presentation they walked into. A building collapsing and we are some people's last chance at help. Not exactly setting expectations high.

Well done Sir. Now dont sit on this. Keep stading up and push back and let cops police. Your results will go up if they dont have fear.
“Apprehending violent and dangerous criminals is a full contact and messy task which may appear shocking to observers with little experience of policing in the real world.” Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley writes to Zack Polanski.

Ant idea on the pension challenge through solicitors where we all gave our details over etc? Whats the aim of that? It was years ago we signed up?

2 officers word and hospital CCTV not good enough? Make it a lawful instruction backed by the top we will do as we are told. But they won't do that. They know risks.
The rollout of body-worn video could allow police to leave mental health patients in hospital, potentially freeing up hours of their time, the Chief Constable has said. 1919magazine.co.uk/april2026…

All @KentPolFed are devastated at the news of the on duty death of our colleague PC Bradley Corke. Bradley, 27, died on Saturday following injuries sustained in a road traffic collision as he travelled to an emergency call in Swanley late on Thursday. facebook.com/KentPolFed/post…

Yeah I can safely say ive been in for 21 years. Its rinsed and repeated. Any fed should never agree a 2 year pay deal into an election year. Thats the best time to get the best deal by a desperate govt.
Police officers “cannot continue” responding to mental health incidents and must instead prioritise the prevention and detection of crime, the Chief Constable has warned. 1919magazine.co.uk/march2026…

So once again we have been screwd. Signing away a 2 year pay deal less this year (must be election year not important ) Now the world's gone nuts and Inflation energy and fuel will sky rocket. We will sit and watch everyone else get good deals and we will fall further behind

Hopefully not just words. Hopefully see action on this. Its easy to say these things but not fix these things.
The demand on policing from mental health calls... it's #relentless and unsustainable and good to hear the Chief Constable categorically and publicly say so at the Scottish Police Authority meeting.

All whilst being shafted in pay negotiations aye? Think the Feds need to get tough quick. If you think we keep the same draconian rights we currently have. There will be a mass exodus. That I am sure off.
🚨 SUMMARY: The Government's reforms to policing - Facial recognition technology will be rolled out across England and Wales from next year - The 43 police forces will be cut to around 12 "mega forces" who will only focus on major crime - "Local Policing Areas" will be included in these forces in each town, city or borough who will focus only on local crime, such as shoplifting or anti-social behaviour - A British FBI will be established, called the National Police Service, to bring together national policing functions to tackle fraud, terrorism and organised crime, with Regional Crime Hubs built into its structure - All police officers must hold a "Licence to Practice" to remain in the force to ensure they're trained to tackle emerging crimes, with those who fail removed from duty - Police will be required to reach serious incidents within 15 minutes in cities and 20 minutes in rural areas, and answer 999 calls within 10 seconds - A National Public Order Commander will be appointed in the NPS to coordinate responses to riots - A new national centre called "Police AI" will roll out AI across all police forces from April to cut bureaucracy and speed up investigations - A new national forensics service will be created to end "postcode lotteries" in forensic capability - Non-crime hate incidents will be abolished and replaced with a new framework so police spend less time "policing" tweets - Police governance will transfer to directly elected mayors or Policing and Crime Boards made up of council leaders

I will make a prediction in 10 years or less police will be managing everything for everyone else and crime will be a telephone ☎️ appointment for a week later

You can name anything you want but without boots on the ground your just going to take another cop off the front line to fill a fantasy vacancy. THE POLICE ARE NOT AND SHOULD NOT BE USED AS A POLITICAL TOOL! WHEN DID THIS CHANGE
Community policing is set to become an election battleground after Scottish Labour vowed to deliver a named crime prevention officer in every council ward. David Kennedy, general secretary of the Scottish Police Federation, described the announcements as “a start in the right direction”. 1919magazine.co.uk/december2…
